Fabulous app
As good as- possibly better - than the print edition
Unable to open this morning- AGAIN!
I like being able to read à “real” copy of the newspaper and the supplements but, sadly, the app is getting worse at providing this. It fails to upload automatically, so they all have to be downloaded separately, and sometimes does not work at all. I am still unable to access Saturday’s content on Sunday morning. Needs urgent review

Technically awful - almost unusable
I would echo many of the comments regarding the changes made a couple of years ago. I’m a digital + paper subscriber (which is far from cheap). I used to find the entire Guardian already downloaded to my iPad when I woke, and articles easy to read. Now I have a battle every morning just to download, the contents on Saturday taking forever. What will I try today? Press the “my library” button? Close then re-open the app? Delete then re-download the app? Once the content is downloaded it’s very hard to navigate: a facsimile of the print edition may sound like a good idea, but it simply doesn’t work. It’s difficult to browse and wery often I can’t see the bottom of the page. And the Guardian’s wonderful photography is often wasted as you can’t see the entire picture if it takes up a large part of the page (let alone spread over two pages). I have similar problems with the FT (is it the same engine?) but the Times and Independent are absolutely flawless and easy to use. Finally, while I understand the Guardian needs to preserve its income, I’m driven round the bend by constantly having to give my credentials including 2-step authentication.

Not great
Really fed up of the app sticking during download and it being difficult to open headings to read.
Great paper but they need to get their digital services up to modern expected standards
No one would argue that guardian is a great paper, but their digital implication sucks. First there is the guardian edition and there is the guardian. No easy explanation what is the distinguishing differences between the two. The guardian addition tells you need an account and then does not take you anywhere to sign up. If you have a guardian account you cannot add it to the guard edition. It is all terrible and confusing. You need to get your act together and create a unified digital service which is easy to use.
