My first review for a first rate game
I don’t review things, but in my fever induced mania perhaps I’m turning over a new leaf. I’ve played lots of excellent Choice Of games, my favorites being the Heroes series, so you can probably see a trend here.
But I don’t know if I’ve ever been as drawn into a world like I have with Superlatives. Weather Control is one of my favorite powers so that helps, and I genuinely enjoy leading a team where other games have only given you the facade of doing so, that I’ve played anyway.
I like the characters, I’m genuinely interested to see what each one thinks and says, who they are as people and heroes.
Now I’m not that far in, maybe chapter 5 or so, but everything is so consistent thus far that I’d be surprised if it took a nose dive.
I’ll certainly review again once I’ve finished but I look forward to playing the rest with great aplomb.

Wonderful!
This game is amazing! I’ve played it through twice now, and will probably give it another go soon. I desperately hope we’ll see a sequel in the future!
Definitely purchase worthy
Engaging story. Worth the price tag.
need a sequel
i’ve been playing choice of games for years and this is my favorite of all. long, complex, well-rounded, well-written, inventive, and compelling. plus, dusk. swoon. i’ll be replaying this one for a while, and i really hope this story continues.
One of my favorites (mild spoilers)
I’ll keep this very simple and short; I absolutely love how the story is written and the variety of personality’s each character has.
——————————————————————
My only issue with it at the moment seems to be a error in coding when it comes down to picking who is more likely to be the target. I had picked to stay and defend Dusk, but in the next chapter it follows that I had picked Gatsby, when I in fact had picked Dusk. This is a bit deheartening but what can you do. I really do hope this can be fixed.

Top notch
This has been one of my favorite stories so far. There’s action and character development and surprising twists. Great job to the author and wvowho helped make it such an entertaining tale!
Worth your time and money
So I don’t normally write reviews for anything but this one deserves it. I went into this thinking it was going to be another story trying to be hero rise. I was however fairly surprised.
Lets start with the pros
PROS
.Fantastic characters
.Fun story
.Great villains
.Real choice
CONS
.somewhat bad pacing in places such as a character reveal early on.
.In places some plans fall through when it feels like they should go off without a hitch
.conversations with your team can be quite shallow at times.
If these aren’t too frightening to you get it it’s a real treat with what seems like a taste of what’s to come

Excellent
Well written. The cast of varied, memorable characters brings to mind the best aspects of Bioware games.
Loved it!
That was absolutely amazing! Personally I'm a huge fan of choose your own adventure stories, and this is easily the top of the list! Honestly, I'd give it a 10/10 if that was possible.
Great!
This game was awesome. I wish I could have gotten a little deeper into my romance with Hugh, but otherwise I have no complaints. I used to read choose your own adventure books as a kid. This is the first adult kind of version of that which I’ve really enjoyed. :)
smart & fun!
Bugs aside, the replay value of this game is high. Solid plot and dynamic characters make this game interesting, no matter what choices you make.
I absolutely love this game and sincerely hope a sequel is in the works.

As a long time fan of Choice of Games Text Adventures I can honestly say this is one of my all time favourites. With a great story, great characters, a fantastic main character that you can create, and a expansive universe rife with a story that makes you want to dive right in. Eagerly looking forward to the sequel I hope is coming.

Great game!
I throughly enjoyed this one. Well written but a little slow at first. I do wish it was longer and I hope there is more in the future.
Deeply engrossing and worth every penny
I have been playing games from the Choice of Games/ Hosted Games collection for over 2 years now with somewhat worrying dedication. Yet it's been a while since i've found one so deeply engrossing and the sole cause of so many missed buses and trains. Worth every penny and more.
I love this
My favorite one that ever came out!! I hope a part two comes out. I loved the characters, plot and the romances. Dusk was my favorite romance.
Interesting, replayable and fun
The story is quite good. It is not the most original concept but it is handled well and there are quite a few elements that turn now mundane story tropes into something refreshing and almost new. Most importantly it was a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through every line and page and I especially appreciated the length, allowing you to get drawn into the story and characters without feeling like it drags on. There are some errors in coding but nothing that won’t get sorted out within a few days. And perhaps even more so this was the first time since probably choice of robots that I did not feel like I had to restart on the first playthrough. The game is very good about working within your choices as long as you present consistency of character. It will still punish you on mistakes but even those are done so well that you feel like it’s just indeed another branch or path as opposed to a mistake. I loved the main character and playing as her and felt like my play style very well reflected in the writing.

One of the best
Most CYOAs don't flesh out the main characters much, but this one gives you lots of choices. Lengthy, with replay value, sets up for sequel. One of the most deftly handled worlds I've read, considering a its a hodgepodge of steampunk science fantasy with aliens to boot. Not completely debugged but mostly wasn't too bothersome. Like most Choice Of games it's cloyingly PC, to the point of stuffing a bunch of gender and minority characteristics into one character in a way that felt more political than integral. But one reads for story, not politics, and Superlative has the former in spades. Hope to see a sequel.

A boring read
Maybe this kind of story just isn't my sort of thing, but it's just too boring for me. I had to force myself just to keep reading it.
I give it 3 stars just because I appreciate the world building, and this story clearly took some time to make and the author tried hard, unlike other games like Zombien.

Good
This wasn’t bad at all. It was very lengthy and even though doesn’t have a very high replay value it does have enough. The story was good and well written. Somewhat meaningless choices and there’s an error with one of the epilogues.
Even though I died it was showing me alive at the end of the game. I say it’s worth it.
