Epic game!

The way home is nostalgia, vibes, satisfying, also cat, also engine building, also party mode is crazy!!!

Great gameplay but lacks polish

The Way Home is engaging its gameplay and charming in its simple aesthetics. Story mode is cute and quick, but party mode is where it’s really at. The cast of findable characters and how they synergize with the various skills makes for some surprisingly deep strategy. I’ve almost finished unlocking all the memory cards which has been a really fun challenge.

With that said… the game is seriously lacking in polish. There are several completely game-breaking bugs and more than a few glitches, and I have no idea where to report them other than here. Additionally, there are some serious balancing issues that detract from the game’s overall quality.

I will gladly bump this review up to a 5 when the bugs are fixed, I do genuinely enjoy this game but I can’t rate it higher when there are bugs that force you to restart mid-run
