TheAgency is a direct property marketplace designed to facilitate connections between buyers, sellers, and estate agents without intermediary software fees. Acting strictly as a software platform, the application provides the necessary tools to list, browse, and initiate real estate transactions. Core Functionality Zero Listing Fees: There are no costs or limits associated with listing a property on the platform. Direct Communication: The platform removes intermediaries, allowing buyers to view property details and contact sellers or their approved agents directly. Seller Verification: To maintain the integrity of the marketplace, all sellers and agents must undergo an approval process before their property listings are activated and visible to the public. Dual Interface: Users can seamlessly switch between buyer and seller modes within the application depending on their current real estate needs. Currency: Currently only ZAR, version coming soon with full translation capability. Privacy and Architecture TheAgency is built natively for the Apple ecosystem and leverages Apple iCloud and CloudKit for data synchronization. The application architecture prioritizes data minimization and user sovereignty: No Proprietary Servers: The application does not collect, store, process, or harvest your personal information or transaction history on external servers. iCloud Security: All user data is stored securely within your private iCloud database. Data Control: The developers do not act as data controllers and cannot access your personal information. Your data is never sold or shared with advertisers. You retain full control and can delete your app data at any time via your device's Apple ID settings. Legal and Compliance TheAgency is a software provider, not a real estate broker, agent, or party to any transaction. While the platform facilitates connections, users are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence. Buyers and sellers must ensure compliance with their local real estate laws, tax regulations, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Approved agents may require identity verification and documentation directly from you prior to concluding any transaction outside of this software.
