Stop forcing ppl for earnify!

I’ve been almost exclusively a customer with Thorntons since 2015 for gas… to take away the Thorntons app and give us an app that doesn’t show gas prices is one of the most frustrating things I’ve dealt with. Horrible decision making from the higher ups… at least update earnify to give us gas prices. This was so dumb

Not worth it wouldn’t support it
It was somewhat decent when I was getting 25cent off every month the second gas prices shot through the roof I only get 10 cent which is really 5 cent added to the daily 5 cent you already get off for signing up I don’t see any points racking up it’s just no real benefit to this app taking up space on my phone

I downloaded it and now it forwards me to the earnify app every time is this app obsolete now I don’t understand??? Why aren’t they mentioning that it’s obsolete take it off the App Store if it’s forwarding us to a different app called earnify!

Thorntons has been going downhill ever since they ended the buy 9 fountain drinks get 1 free. Been a member for over 10 years but I guess it’s time to move along to somewhere else to get my gas and food. 👎

The awards suck now and it’s not worth it anymore to go there everybody at my work has been talking about it and everybody said they’re not gonna go back to Thorntons again they are done with them

Huge Downgrade to the Rewards Program
This app used to be simple and actually provided decent fuel savings. Now it’s basically useless unless you download another app called Earnify. Instead of improving the experience, they turned it into a forced redirect just to keep using rewards.
The new points system is also a joke. You have to spend a significant amount of money just to earn a tiny discount like 5¢ off per gallon. What used to be straightforward savings is now a watered-down rewards scheme.
This isn’t an upgrade — it’s a downgrade designed to make customers do more for less. Longtime users deserved better.

Redirects to Another, Worse App
This app used to be just fine. Now it’s a front for a rewards points scheme called Earnify. Choose any other gas station. For the past 5 years I’ve been going to Thornton’s almost exclusively for all gas purchases, since their fuel savings rewards (anywhere from 5¢ - 25¢ per gallon) put them at a pretty competitive price compared to other local gas stations.
Unfortunately, it looks like GREED has gotten the better of them. I tried to use the app today and I was presented with a pop-up message that I was unable to close directing me to download another app called Earnify. I was already at the pump, so I went through the whole process including entering my phone number, email, and two-factor authentication BS. Then I’m shown a dashboard congratulating me that I earned 250 points.
What does 250 points get you? 5¢ off per gallon. Something you used to get for nothing (aside from your data being sold ofc). How do you earn more points? Spending money of course! Every $1 spent on fuel is 1 point. Every $1 spent in the convenience store is 2 points. So again, you have to spend ONE OR TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS just to get 5¢ off the price per gallon ONE TIME.
SCAM SCAM SCAM. Go to literally any other gas station. Shell and 7Eleven both have better fuel savings rewards for members. I will never, ever willingly go to or spend money at a Thornton’s again. A 5 year local customer, down to nothing due to corporate greed. Hope you’re happy!!!

This app is dead
This used to be a great app Thorntons used to release a lot of great deals and free gas off coupons up to $.25 off. Now that the New Year’s 2026 came around they silently stopped giving out gas coupons. And now it’s redirecting you to a different app to download for rewards.
Horrible First Experience
I signed up for the rewards program and when I log into the APP I only receive that the APP has an “unexpected error”. I can’t get past it but can use the website

app works fine, but the “deals” quietly change. used to give 20cents off a gallon all the time, now it’s only 10. used to be by 6 12oz redbull get one free, they changed it to the 8.4 oz. just another stingy corporation

Great programs but they never load
Thorntons offers great rewards programs, however the app always seems to never load the additional programs and discounts.

I love this app I always use it, gives me good deals. I wish you could see receipts on that app, just incase you didn’t want it in person. So you can keep track of how much you spend and everything! If you guys add Receipt item then that’ll be amazing!!!
Not working!
App not working can’t log in anymore but phone number registered at the pump still gives the 5 cent off discount on gas!
Push notifications
Push notifications turns themselves off. Changed email, changed password. Deleting and reinstalling doesn’t help
