If you enjoy a strategy game that involves building your team (think JRPG elements), but matches are played out like chess , that’s what TKH is like. Props to the developers for making this!
Best Mobile Strategy Game
Fantastic mobile strategy game with a great and challenging campaign that feels very rewarding to play and keep playing. Online is a lot of bots and not a lot of people but not too big of a deal.
Shogi and Duke
Hun, so this is quite a surprising game. The core gameplay seems to be based on Shogi… and The Duke the board game?
Granted, The Duke is based off Shogi anyway. But it’s surprising to see some mechanics like CC tiles appearing in this game.
It’s also a live service game, but because it’s Apple Arcade, no one can whale in this game. The subscription fee is a price, but at least this might make the PvP live service nature work?

Good game but
Some of the ui doesn’t respond, and you can’t get the generals from the campaign to get 3 stars on the levels, because of their prices so you have to backtrack. Otherwise very fun though!

Great Tactical Chess using ROTK theme
I love this game, especially the campaign. The only flaw is the seasonal match, the opponent is losing and quit the game in the middle of the match. The timer ran out but I can’t not get a win or go back to main menu unless I choose to retire from the match which made me lost. This is the only flaw that stops me from giving this 5 stars.

I don’t understand the negative reviews about this game. It’s a high-quality strategy game that requires careful thinking and planning—truly engaging from start to finish. I noticed a review comparing it to chess, but it’s clear that person either hasn’t played chess in a while or simply doesn’t enjoy strategy games. For those who do, this game is an excellent choice!

Slow UI with lots of reading
The game is conceptually fun but it moves extremely slowly. Each move requires sitting through very slow animations about the opponents move and then another that it’s my move.
Further, you get all these exciting players but can’t use them because they take too much cost in a squad.
There is also a lot of reading. You can skip it, but it’s just a lot. I spend more time waiting for the game to do stuff than playing it.

Very fun and challenging
I’m really enjoying this. I feel pretty bad at it but I will get better over time. My only complaint is that some of the animations take too long
A good time sink
Slow to start but when you get into the swing of things it’s pretty fun. Rewards could be better as you need a lot more gold for troops than is available and some of the troops cost far too much for what they do.

My new favorite tactical game on iPhone
I’ve played about 5 hours so far and have enjoyed it more and more as I progress through the campaign. The mechanics are fairly simple, but the strategy is surprisingly challenging and deep. Definitely has a chess-like feel, but adds more layers of strategic choices with the ability to “awaken” a limited number of units and customize which units you use in each squad. Seems like a game I’ll probably be playing for months. Well done!

Portrait mode only
Playing a game in portrait mode on the iPad is a pain and just makes me delete it from my device. The iPad is awkward to hold vertically.

Love the game so far and i just reached 250 stars. My fav commander is Cao Cao.
Great customer service
I gave a 1 star before because I thought the game was not working. I reach out to support and they got back to me within 24 hours and was able to solve my problem. Just reach out guys I’m sure they are trying to make this game great !!
Chess
It’s actually basically just a chess game. Not that great at it either.
Works for Me
Reviews are negative because of one reason folks, and that’s the game won’t load or crash. But if it works this game is one of the best strategy games out there. I’m quite surprised being the last RTK was awful.
