Needs some more work done

Disappointing app. Can’t even get started because, although the chime can be set, I can never hear it if it rings - I assume that the clock is ticking as the black duration bar turns into a clock icon but newer turns off. Tried some of the noisier bells but still hear nothing although the initial three minutes have long since passed according to my watch alarm. Just in case dodgy coding had stopped the app running when the iPhone went to sleep, I set the awake time to 5 minutes but no luck.
Other minor irritations are the sometimes whacky bells (' boxing bell’?, China gong? ‘Meditation’ tone, that is a near-silent tick?) and the almost illegible grey-text-on-white introduction pages. This app needs some work to help restore faith in the College’s further offerings. Or maybe a clear contact address to convey these issues…

Doesn't work

Tried to use the app alongside the book.

Whilst I understand latter exercises are locked, it's not possible to complete even the first. The 'count' does not increment, even after doing the first candle focus session several times.
