Drivers will not accept cheap fares
My second time using this app, I was at an event. Found a ride for an amazing price. Locked it in and ended up waiting for 30 minutes. Drivers kept refusing the request. I ended up using Lyft. Good app to have going somewhere, but not coming back from somewhere.
Love the idea, but the app doesn’t work for me!

Scammed by a driver
Driver parked around the block of my pick up location. It looked like he was waiting for a stoplight until I realized that he started the "late" timer and claimed that he arrived. As I tried to run around the block, he started driving off and forcing me to cancel the ride. This ended up charging me a $5 cancellation fee.

Satisfied
Throo is cheaper than uber and lyft. The wait is worth it for what you can save. One time I came back from a concert and uber was quoting me $150 and lyft quoted $170! The same ride from Throo was quoted at $46. Great platform!
Ride canceled / pay scam
I bought a ride and the driver canceled. I payed $40 for this ride and I can’t get the money back. This is ridiculous.

You get what you pay for. Three drivers cancelled on me. Im late. I deleted the app.
Don’t Use Them
I had a terrible experience. My driver took a bad route and my ride was way more expensive than it was quoted. I reached out to customer service through email. There’s no live customer service. It took them two weeks to respond and they were super unhelpful. I would never use them again.

For starters, I have been dependent of this app since it launched June 30, 2026. since then i been a constant user. The prices are more competitive than Lyft and Uber. only thing, since it is new, longer waiting time is expected other than that. THIS APP COMES IN HANDY.

This is my first time using the app. I usually use Lyft or Uber, but I’m happy to support an app that is more beneficial to drivers. We hadn’t seen him with experience. We were able to get a car and the pouring rain in Manhattan as long as pricing remains lower than it’s competitors I will continue to use.

Most taxis don't answer their own calls, they don't deliver until the end, they charge money.
UNRELIABLE
First time I called for work, they kept canceling. I HAD TO CALL LYFT Second time I tried where being on time wasn’t an issue. The wait time kept escalating until the ride was canceled. I had left the screen to check an email and was never notified until I had gone back to check ETA.

I used this app and was quoted $48. After my driver made some wrong turns causing my ride to be much longer than anticipated they charged me $66 for the ride? How is it my fault that he got lost? Never again
