Training plan crashes - but good otherwise!
A good app, customisable and easy to use with a lot of cool looking settings I have yet to try. I bought the stage 1 half marathon training package and it won’t show up - when i click restore purchases I get an endless loading screen. When I try to buy it again it says it’s already been bought and I should restore my purchases. Very frustrating.

Great paced workouts and heart rate tracking!
Several people from my running club are using RunX so I thought I would give it a try. I’ve been using Nike, and Runkeeper before that.
I bought the 10K level 4 training plan for the workouts. It gives me 5 different workouts per week. I like that the workouts are pre-programmed so you can just select the workout you want and the App sets up the warmup, workout, and cooldown. I do the 6x800 meter track workout every couple weeks.
You can use the App without a heart rate monitor, but the App has special features available if you have one. It does a lot more than just tracking your heart rate during your runs. The App has you do a benchmark run at a specific pace while wearing your heart rate monitor. After a few weeks, you can see how your heart rate fitness has improved and the App automatically adjusts your workouts.
Pros:
(1) Training plan workouts have a lot of variety and are already programmed. This is great for interval workouts where you have timed rest breaks.
(2) Gives you goal pace for each run and paces you. Updates your goal pace using their built in heart rate fitness tracking tools or time trial tool.
(3) Tracks your running fitness if you have a heart rate monitor.
(4) Predicts your race time.
Cons:
(1) Music is not built in, but not a problem for me since I just use Spotify running in the background.
(2) No Apple Watch yet.
