What's New in TrainerKit
5.0
September 3, 2026
TrainerKit 5.0 brings the outside world to your trainer. Ride with GPS • Connect your Ride with GPS account and import your routes straight into TrainerKit. • Routes bring their surface with them — when the route turns to gravel, dirt, or cobbles, your smart trainer's resistance changes with it, segment by segment. • Upload finished rides to Ride with GPS, or turn a ride into a route. Ride Real Roads Indoors • A satellite map — 2D or 3D — right beside the live elevation profile. Outdoors • Follow a route: your course drawn on the map with a 3D navigation camera that looks down the road ahead. • GPS overhaul: smarter accuracy handling ends frozen speed readouts and straight lines drawn across the map when signal degrades. • Pause now pauses everything — time, distance, and the map — with a clear overlay, sound and haptic confirmation, and auto-resume when you roll again. • E-Bike rides on Apple Watch, and e-bike rides now upload to Strava as E-Bike Rides. Training • Short, hard interval targets are now built from your own power curve instead of a fixed percentage of FTP. • Ride History gains per-ride peak power with 90-day bests, and indoor rides get a workout-profile thumbnail. Reliability • Rides recorded on your Mac or Apple TV now reach Apple Health automatically through your iPhone. • Resistance-control fixes for Tacx NEO and original Wahoo KICKR. Plus dozens of fixes and refinements throughout.
