Crashing

Says awaiting permissions for a second then crashes

Best tool besides a trap

Went entering data on your phone or from the website this tool links perfectly together. As an administrator for a couple of projects we could not be without this app. Thank you and keep up the great work. Mark J

Improving

Still has the odd quirk which could possibly be user error but I think all the bugs I’ve isolated and mentioned either here or in the forums have been resolved so well done.

Bug when retiring a trap

This bug is terrible. The only workaround is to reinstall the application, force quit doesn’t help.

Steps to reproduce (I think):
- Walk a line. You will see the pips along the top of the screen, one per trap.
- Select a trap and retire it. The number of pips along the top of the screen doesn’t seem to change.
- As you keep walking the line, the traps you have done turn green. The ones you haven’t (including the one you retired) are still grey.
- Select the grey trap. It looks like you missed that one, did you forget that’s the one you retired?
- The whole phone screen goes white. Force quit doesn’t help.
- To recover from this point, reinstall the app and walk the line again from the beginning.
- To avoid the crash maybe exit out of the trap list view back to the map after retiring the trap. That might cause the dodgy pip to disappear.

Still flawed, which is a pity

Still a lot of flaws on iOS.

GPS is jerky, takes three pushes to get indicator to correct location and I can only get app to stop using GPS if I restart my iPhone.
Also only shows traps I have placed. Seems a shame no progress has been made in two years to fix known issues

Keeps crashing

When turning on location settings get a blank screen on iPhone. This happens frequently. I don’t what to be tracked always on this application so turn off as setting “only while using” doesn’t logout after use. Lots of flaws. Getting past this as check my traps daily, may resort to pen and paper recording as app is so bad

Terrible

Can’t get it to load. Then when I can, it stores information incorrectly or has issues storing.

Completely useless

One of the worst apps I’ve ever tried to use. More problems than I could list

TrapNZ vs excel or notebook

There is a lot to say about pros and cons of TrapNZ vs excel spreadsheets and or notebook pad and pencil. Yes there are some data / synch / appearance issues - versus the ability to hold and record all data on a mobile tablet in the field. We’ve been using this since 2021 and love the ability to hold all data in one place for 300 traps and bait stations. Groundtruth - Keep up the good mahi.

Increasingly useable!

Becoming increasingly user friendly thanks. Great to see the total catches over time on out line.

Useless off line

Totally useless. Won’t work at all on iPhone anymore. Got worse with every update now should be zero stars

Oh dear!

Unable to upload my first trap location and picture details- endless tries. Clunky. Intuitive it is not.

App is broken

Uninstalling as broken beyond use

Hard to use (traps not loading)

It’s a great tool but the iOS app has allot of flaws. I’m not able to view or edit traps on my assigned line (it works on the online version). I can only see traps I place.

Easy to use and functional

Very user friendly app for community or large scale trapping projects. Handy reporting functions on the website too.
