Okay if you are not a fan of elegance or beauty
I cannot take this app seriously. I tried it out to see what features and templates were being offered for the travel book option. I have to laugh. To be fair, I usually create my own using photoshop, which allows for much more customization, like adding little visual details, screenshots of itinerary maps, PNGs, personalized fonts, drawings, overlays, scans of receipts, etc, things that make the reliving the experience more sentimental and immersive, like a legitimate scrapbook. To make them on photoshop isnāt difficult at all.
I am honestly in utter shock that the devs are charging $59 YEARLY for this app on top of an ADDITIONAL $30-60 each book. Absolutely despicable. This app is quite literally scamming people for something can be done for free in the pages app or notes app within minutes for free. The templates and fonts are so juvenile and barren, lack customization, and are borderline tacky, Iām positive 5 year old could produce better. I cannot believe that this app has such great reviews. Even if you appreciate the simplicity or solely use the app as a travel journal $40-$60 a year for what it is a complete ripoff. Very brazen developers.

Iāve always found the TD team extremely helpful when, in the early days (for them and me) I was trying to work out what I should be doing. The end results surpassed my expectations, and I have two more books in the pipeline which I must finish, and another couple of trips to look forward to as well. A great way to remember our travels, and to share experiences.

I love Travel Diaries, I canāt ever imagine travelling with out, I can instantly pen my thoughts and feelings as I travel, add pictures at the same time which adds context to my words, and also add a map and to track the journey. All of that helps during the journey and those following my trip, but helps me post journey to look back and see what I wrote and how I felt.
I have had all my trip journals printed, and to have that book in my hand, a cup of tea and look back is immensely rewarding and satisfying. The team behind the App are amazing too and helped me, there are no glitches or errors it all works,!I contact the team when I canāt do something ( operator error).

It Works - Kind Of
For the most part this is usable software, although using pictures is buggy. Sometimes I load up a bunch of pics for the dayās journal and one will disappear and I get a duplicate of another. The bottom section with arrows is a mystery. Sometimes it shows blank boxes with arrows, sometimes it shows duplicates of pictures Iāve already included elsewhere, and sometimes itās nonexistent.
My biggest complaint though is that in my opinion, if you pay for a subscription, all ads should be removed. I wrote to the company via their support page asking how to remove their ads and not surprisingly did not get an answer whatsoever. Iāve tried several journaling apps over the years when we travel - and so far have been underwhelmed by all. They either charge more as you add content or they have blatantly distracting ads or just donāt work. This is somewhere in between. Iāll use it for this trip and then cancel the subscription and look for something else. Or hey ā¦ Iām a retired developer- maybe Iāll write my own.

Fantastic customer service!
Whenever I ran into issues on the spotty Wi-Fi, we had on our cruise ship, we would send a quick email to Travel Diaries and they would always respond very promptly and politely. Every time we were able to resolve the issue. The books we ordered look fantastic. Highly recommend.
Love my travel journal!
We just got back from a trip of a lifetime. I wanted a site that I could not just upload our photos, but also a space that I could add my journal from each day that not only captured the itinerary but also my emotions. I used AI to recommend sites and they suggested the Travel Diaries app. I received the book yesterday and it is so nice!!! The quality of the cover and pages along with the ease of setting it up including the variety of templates is why I rated this 5 stars. And it took less than 2 weeks to receive it. I have already recommended this site to my friends and family to use on their next travel adventure.

App suddenly doesnāt work on iPhone anymore
Worked fine last week. Now I am unable to log in. EVEN MORE ANNOYING is that i canāt access content via website on my phone either as it forces me to then download the non- functional app!!

I love the concept, and have been doing pen and paper travel logs for a while now, but the way the app works is not very intuitive. It would help a lot if I could choose a layout FIRST and then write to fill the page. Currently you write everything out, choose a layout and hope your photos land where you want. Loading pics and pages of text takes forever, it freezes, and Iāve lost pages of writing on a few occasions. It took a solid day to figure out how to use it. Still wishing I could figure out a way to place pictures where I want to match the text I'm writing

So far so good
I like to keep a journal whenever I take big trips to send to family to report my daily travels. Iāve only used email and found it awkward to send pictures and then have no way to print and keep in the end. I just found this app two weeks ago before a left for Great Britain. Iām using it daily as I travel and so far itās been easy to use on my mobile phone and send the confidential link to family. I look forward to printing the journal once Iām home.

Solid journaling app with photo limitations
After doing some research on travel journaling apps, I chose this one to start the long overdue process of digitizing my handwritten travel journals from the past four decades. Entering text is very easy, and there are numerous page layouts to choose from. However, there are limitations with regard to where and how photos can be placed in the layouts and the sizing of them. Wish the app had more flexibility to edit size and place photos exactly where you want them. I ordered my first set of printed copies of a journal from one trip and was reasonably impressed at the quality of the printed book. I signed up for the annual subscription so I can enjoy other benefits as well. Other apps Iāve used are much better with handling large numbers of photos, but I like that this one handles a lot of text very well with just a few photos thrown in for visual appeal.

Travel diaries me permet assez facilement de rĆ©diger, mettre en forme, ajouter des cartes et des images, de maniĆØre complĆ©mentaire sur le web ou dans lāapp, puis de partager ou dāimprimer (je nāai pas encore reƧu mon livre rĆ©sultat pour tĆ©moigner sur ce point). Les possibilitĆ©s de mise en page ne sont pas infinies mais au moins elles sont simples Ć effectuer. JāapprĆ©cierais quand mĆŖme des amĆ©liorations comme de pouvoir justifier le texte ou de mettre des emojis, des tableaux, etc.

Nearly perfect (for me!)
I have searched for an app for a long time which enabled me to keep a travel journal with photographs which could be easily printed in book format as well as published on line. Iāve now found it and completed my first one (many more to follow as Iām playing catch up.) The online version is good and I have just received the printed book which has blown me away. It looks so good. So why 4 stars and not 5? I am picky and I would like more flexibility to be able to include some wider photos. I had to crop elements out of some because I couldnāt reduce them to fit the template. (If this is my ineptitude I am happy to be taught and add in the star!) The other thing I would like to see is the option to make some of the photo boxes bigger and swap them and the text boxes around.
It isnāt a difficult app to use; my only challenges were trying to make it do something it doesnāt!
Overall though I am very happy and I am now part way through my second book.

Kindness of Travel Diaries
My husband and I recently returned from fabulous trip to Palm Cove and I compiled a journey with pics of our trip. TravelDiaries were just fantastic, I accidentally ordered two copies quickly realised my error and contacted them. They checked it out and happily refunded cost of one however they sent the second as a āgiftā. So very grateful, fantastic service and advice. Great little app
I like how it works and the fact you can add 20 pictures to each chapter. Support was helpful too when I had a small issue. Was resolved quickly. I recommend this app.
Practice and play with it before you start your journey
I was recommended this app by a friend who has used it multiple times. I like it, but figuring out how the features work is more complicated than it appears. Writing the journal is pretty straightforward, but adding pix is more involved. There are multiple steps that need to be done in a certain order for the pix to appear in each chapter. Also, if you want to make your journal available to friends or anyone, you need to use the Share key. You can make the entire journal public or just selected chapters.
I suggest you play with it well before you are traveling to avoid frustration. When I used the app on my desktop, the FAQ section answered a lot of questions, but I wasnāt able to find this when I was using my IPad.
Now that Iām more familiar with the app, I will use it on future trips.
