JumpRail uses your iPhone (it's not intended to be used on any other device; iPhone only) as part of a complete officiating rail station system for long jump and triple jump events. Used at track and field event sites utilizing a 'rail system' for distance measurements, JumpRail dramatically simplifies and improves distance measurements and can broadcast results to the 'LaserPad' companion iPad app for one or more remote displays. However, is does not rely on the companion iPad app for any functionality. The two are separate and completely stand alone apps. I haven't submitted the iPad app to the app store yet. JumpRail calculates the official distance automatically by applying calibrated takeoff-board offsets, so you get accurate, ready-to-record results instantly. From then on, every measurement from the selected board is corrected in real time. Pair with one or more iPads running LaserPad to give athletes, coaches, and spectators a live results display, complete with warmup timers and foul indicators, synced automatically across every connected iPad.
