The child lock stopped working and they haven’t fixed it in over a year.
Can’t Login
I keep being logged out and when I go to log back in the the login in button is grayed out, even if I choose the forgot password option the button to confirm the account name is grayed out as well. A few months back all the light bulbs stopped working for a week and since then this keeps happening.
Not very good
Frequently loses connection with Wi-Fi, which means that you open the app in your iPhone and you’re wanting to turn on your string lights in the backyard, but there is no response because it is not connecting to the Wi-Fi. I don’t think I have ever seen any app updates. It’s very frustrating and I don’t recommend buying it. We are going to simply replace the outlet that the string lights are plugged into with this TreatLife utilities, dongle, and replace the outlet with a smart outlet and throw away this TreatLife utilities dongle. We bought it on Amazon. It is our second one. The first one did the same thing. Now this one is doing the same thing. They are not very expensive so I don’t feel terribly bad throwing away the money, but I certainly do not recommend buying them.

Simply not working anymore
This really pisses me off because it worked fine and all of a sudden the app won’t allow me to turn on or off my lamp, change the colors, etc. tried restarting my phone, restarting app, removing the device then re adding it, literally nothing works. So I guess I just have a useless light bulb now.

Frequent resets make them too annoying to use
Sometimes it will be a month before they start flashing again or the color is off, sometimes a few weeks, sometimes a few days. Often I have to log back in, and then it takes forever to re-add each bulb. Concept is cool, app is bad, and I will never use anything from them again.

Since my last iPhone update, TreatLife does not function. Will you be correcting this soon, please!
Use Tuya Skill instead of TreatLife skill
It’s inconvenient to have to use the app to control all my lightbulbs and smart plugs. Multiple attempts to install TreatLife skill in Alexa App failed. I spent more than 3 hours troubleshooting with ChatGPT only to read a review that says to use TUYA skill instead. It worked immediately. Disappointed there was no official communication from TreatLife. It would save their customers time and aggravation.

Goodbye Alexa :-(
This used to work great with Amazon Alexa but somehow after the recent update that Alexa did they obviously didn’t consider contacting 3rd party apps that use Alexa services of software compatibility. I sure hope they get this fixed soon, or else I have a lot of new switches to buy and rewire. #notatreatlife

Stopped working with Alexa
My TreatLife lightbulbs suddenly quit working with Alexa. I’ve tried disabling and re-enabling the skill. I can still turn it on and off with the TreatLife app but it’s not cooperating with Alexa. I had no problem with this until a couple of days ago.
Recent change to Tuya Smart
I was having issues linking my TreatLife to Alexa but looks like they changed the linking skill on Alexa it’s called Tuya Smart. Thank me Later

I’m super regretful about having lots of treatlife smart devices at my home . It’s Alexa skills never work as expected for more than few days , week or month. Once it disconnect, it’s supper difficult to reconnect. You end up doing factory reset to make it all work again. It’s total start over. It takes all day to start over and set up Alexa routine. It says smart device LOL

Stopped working
Link with Alexa worked for months but recently stopped working. Switch works with treatlife app but stopped working with Alexa. I disabled the skill in Alexa and now I can’t enable it again

Will not link to Alexa
I have used these bulbs with Alexa for years without any problems. I recently installed an outdoor duplex TreatLife plug which worked great. Yesterday everything quit working with Alexa. I can still control everything with the TreatLife app. I disabled the skill and when I try to re-link the skill Alexa tells me it can’t link and try again later. I was preparing to purchase additional outside plugs to control more lights but will be converting everything away from TreatLife if they can’t get it fixed.

Doesn’t Work with Alexa
Many other people are having the same issue with Alexa connectivity. It worked for a few months and after an update it stopped working with Alexa. Did all the troubleshooting as recommended, and nothing has worked. Get another smart device, or you’ll end up getting frustrated like I am.

Horrible horrible design interface, more confusing and useless with every update.
Won’t connect
I’ve been using the colored bulbs for a while, Ben ok until about 6 months ago. Always have used my phone to turn off lights. We upgraded our gateway and now they won’t connect at all’ very frustrating.
