Not very good

Your phone has to be unlocked with the app open for it to work. The phone buzzes when you reach 90 degrees but the beep sound is delayed. There is no way to increase the sound of of the app so the beep is useless if you’re also listening to music on your headphones. I’d save your money and just use a buddy or your phone to record your depth.

Nice work BFS team

Nice app to get the most out your workouts. Included squat technique video instruction is a nice addition!

DIY Fun

I think this is a great app that’s wonderful for competitive lifters who don’t have others around to call their squat depth. When it errs — and it does on occasion, I think — it has you squat deeper than letting you go too shallow. I give it only four stars because it has little in-app instruction to help you know where to place the phone on your thigh. They want you to buy their $30 strap, but you can easily DIY a strap yourself. Anyway, it’s great fun and helpful for gauging squat depth. Cheers to Bigger Faster Stronger for the ingeniousness of it.
