About
Trumpet connects two people in an internet voice call and announces when either phone changes its audio output. Hear when a caller switches to speakerphone, the earpiece, or a Bluetooth device, and see each caller’s reported output on screen.
Call registered Trumpet users directly from Contacts, or start a call and share an invitation. Both callers need Trumpet and an internet connection. Direct contact calling requires each person to verify their own US mobile number and enable incoming calls.
• Find registered, discoverable Trumpet users among the contacts you allow
• Call a registered number without sending a call invitation
• Answer incoming calls using the iPhone call screen, including while locked, subject to network and iPhone settings
• Invite others with a message you choose to send
• Spoken audio-output change alerts and separate status cards for each caller
• A timeline of changes during the current call
• Favorites and recent call entries stored on your iPhone
• A keypad for checking registered numbers and a simpler call screen
Contacts permission is optional. Contact names stay on your iPhone. Numbers you choose to check are sent to the service temporarily for matching. Use Keypad for manual number lookup. Manage discoverability and delete phone registration under Settings > Registration & incoming calls.
Trumpet reports audio output, not who can hear a conversation. Bluetooth may be headphones or a car system. Status can be delayed or unavailable, and an earpiece does not guarantee privacy.
Trumpet works only with calls made inside Trumpet. It does not monitor regular cellular calls or calls in other apps. It is not an emergency calling service.
The app is a one-time paid download with no subscription or additional in-app purchase. Internet access is required; carrier data charges may apply. Calls are limited to two people, one hour, and one active hosted call per verified app purchase. Service availability and capacity limits apply.
Trumpet does not record or transcribe calls. Audio uses encrypted network transport; end-to-end encryption is not enabled.
