This app allows you to stream web videos, online movies, livestreams, and live TV shows from your mobile device to compatible smart TVs, including Sony, Hisense, and VIDAA/VEWD powered models. It acts as a web browser that detects video links and sends them to your TV for playback on the big screen.
First, ensure you have installed the companion 'TV Cast' app on your smart TV from its App Store. Then, open the Video & TV Cast app on your iPhone/iPad, navigate to the website with the video you want to watch, wait for the link to be detected, and tap the link to send it to your TV. You may need to enter your TV's IP address or play the video on your device first.
The app supports various web video formats including mp4, m3u8, and hls livestreams, as well as video-over-https. However, DRM-protected content from services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and iTunes movies are not supported.
The Pro version offers a Remote Playbar for advanced video control (scrubbing, rewind, etc.), the ability to cast local videos from your camera roll, an ad-blocker to remove ads on websites, unlimited bookmarks with iCloud sync, and a desktop mode to change the browser user-agent.
