App stopped working
The app has stopped working on my iPad. Have made several attempts to reinstall it over the past few weeks but still just getting a message to say the problem is at their end and they’re trying to fix it.
Not working
Does not work with older devices that most people have
Barely functional
Just tried to watch something on the app, and streaming from the browser, and the ads and programme are completely out of sync. Several times the programme is running with ad audio blasting over it. Unwatchable.
Total rubbish
Who signs off and released this utterly shambolic app?
Terrible
Since the platform upgrade the app crashes halfway through a show and then serves you 5-7 ads when you try to get back to the place you were at. If it lets you skip forward at all!

Too many adverts
There used to be 1-2 adverts for about 30 seconds and not that often. I’ve just endured 5 minutes of adverts and they seem to be a lot more common. What’s the point in watching. I’ll just go back to other streaming subscriptions. Also why do I now I need to access my emails just to log in, why can’t I just use a password? It’s not like it’s a financial institution… feels invasive

Content good but UI needs improving
Please add a “mark as watched” feature as it’s so infuriating that previously watched episodes show up as half finished or not watched at all and so shows that are completed stay in the “continue watching” list and make it hard to know where you were at.
Forced portrait is ridiculous
Forced portrait mode when navigating is diabolical. Tell your UX designer to get a grip on reality and orient the screen in a way that 99% of the population would use it. Will change review if this ever gets reverted.

Worst update ever
This app used to function well, you could easily see what episodes you had watched, and it would sit in landscape. Then it was updated to lock to portrait and only intermittently shows progress accurately. Very rarely is there an update that can be this backwards. Do the developers even use it? Def not optimal for an iPad. Do better please.

Lagging and crackly
Has there been a recent update? The app is performing poorly for the last couple of weeks. Adverts and theme songs are crackly and stilted. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no improvement.
AppleTV app needs regular restarts
Regularly ‘forgets’ favourites/my list and only remembers when restarted. It’s the only way we can keep the sanity of watching the 6pm news as it feels like it is on row 30 of the news section, so “my list” gets heavy use to find the shows we depend on
Very Poor App
The app itself works ok. But there is no features like almost all other streaming apps. The ability to remove shows that you no longer want in continue watching. Yes there are long winded ways to get around this. This needs to be an essential app function. Sort it out.
Embarrassing
The app lags all the time, the screen splits into distorted green pixels.
Trying to rewatch shows such as breakfast is painful, constantly buffering and poor quality. It’s actually embarrassing in 2026 to have such a poor running app.

Still no basic controls
A start from beginning would be a jump in functionality and profiles being attached to Apple profiles instead of the shared across all on AppleTV
Worst app ever ??
This app is the most unstable I have ever come across. It keeps stalling, and gets stuck when trying to deliver ads. Multiple restarts of the Apple TV because when this app crashes it affects the device… poor effort TVNZ
Disappointing
I was able to create an account but the movies don’t work because “I’m not at the right region” I had to give it one star but doesn’t deserve any. Disgusting.

Resume episode doesn’t work - starts from beginning including all the ads again 🙄
