1.3

August 30, 2026

FIELD TRAINING A new folder under More, for the things nobody looks up because you are supposed to know them cold. Five topics: Arrest Authority, Call Scenarios, Elements Drill, Phonetic Alphabet, and Statements & Miranda. All of it written in plain language, and every question drills against the same offense cards the rest of the app already uses. STATUTORY WARNINGS The Harris County DA card is still here, as the scans that office issues. Beside it you will now find the same warnings as text, correct in any Texas county. EASIER TO READ Statute text is laid out the way the printed code is, with subsections indented and their letters and numbers picked out. SAVED FORMS Saved blood warrant affidavits and DIC-24 forms now show how many days are left before they are removed from the device, and can be cleared in one go at the end of a shift. FIXES Corrected a missing word in the English statutory warning text. Stability improvements throughout.

Ultimate Reference Guide for SFST, Drug Recognition, Penal Code & Traffic

One of my favorite features is the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) scoring sheet for Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN), Walk-and-Turn (WAT), and One-Leg Stand (OLS). It ensures officers follow National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) protocols without missing critical steps. Being able to export the SFST report directly into an incident report or send it to a primary officer is a major time-saver.

The drug penalty group reference makes calculating weights and charge levels seamless. Additionally, the fillable Driver’s License/Implied Consent Statutory Warning (DIC-24) form exports cleanly for immediate printing and signature.

For standard Traffic Enforcement (TE) and Transportation Code (TC) violations, having instant access to fine schedules, charges, and enhancement levels streamlines the process of establishing Probable Cause (PC) and documenting stops. This is an outstanding resource for Field Training Officers (FTO) and Probationary Police Officers (PPO).

Highly recommend this app for Texas LEO’s!

Great app for LEO

As a law enforcement officer, I believe TX LEO is a very useful and effective app for officers working in Texas. What I like most about the app is that it puts a large amount of important legal information in one place, making it easier to quickly find the information I need while working in the field.

The Texas Penal Code, Health and Safety Code, Transportation Code, Houston municipal ordinances, case law, and DWI investigation resources are all valuable tools for an officer. I especially like the fact that the app is designed for field use rather than feeling like a complicated legal textbook. Being able to quickly look up an offense, review the required elements, check applicable penalties, or research a case-law decision could be extremely helpful during a shift.

I also think the offline capability is a major benefit. Officers cannot always depend on having a strong internet connection, so having important information available without internet access makes the app much more practical.

Response from developer

Thank you for the great feedback, CeeGeeJr! "A practical tool rather than a complicated legal textbook" is exactly what I was aiming for. I know firsthand how spotty cell service can be on patrol, so keeping the entire database fully accessible offline was an absolute must. Just a heads up, version 1.2 is now available for update, and version 1.3 will be rolling out soon with additional templates to help streamline DWI investigations. I'm glad the app is serving you well out there. Stay safe!
