Huge potential
I’ve tried a lot of AI apps, and txtpod is one of the few that introduced a genuinely new workflow instead of just wrapping AI around an existing one.
The brilliance isn’t simply converting text to speech. It’s that txtpod turns articles, links, PDFs, and even AI-generated topics into real podcast episodes that are published to your own private podcast feed. I don’t have to stay inside another reading app or audio app. I save something once, and later it shows up alongside my regular podcasts in Apple Podcasts or my favorite podcast player. That completely changed how I consume information.
Features like AI-generated news episodes on topics I choose, automatic translation into my language with natural voices, and the ability to generate podcast episodes about subjects I’m curious about make it feel like I’m building my own personalized podcast network instead of just listening to static content. (App Store)
The developer is also incredibly responsive. I reached out with detailed feedback and received a thoughtful explanation of the app’s vision, current limitations, and future direction. It’s refreshing to see an indie developer building something truly original and continuously improving it.
The app is still evolving, and there are occasional limitations with certain PDFs or websites, but the core concept is unlike anything else I’ve used. If you already spend time listening to podcasts and wish the internet could come to you in that same format, txtpod is one of the most innovative apps on the App Store.

Woah! Thank you very much for your kind words! Such a thoughtful and great feedback :) There’s a lot much to do for sure but kind and thoughtful reviews like yours make me stay motivated and keep going with updates and new features for the app. More updates soon!
Huge potential
The only thing I can say is keep emphasizing the growth of the AI systems, understanding pattern, recognition, and further diving into conversations continuously add more depth. Listen I’m a power user but if you can’t match my depth, then there’s a waste of time.
This app has to be a crucial part of flip that came for AI, but if they don’t continuous improve the adaptations via user patterns and adapt then the app will continues produce mediocre reflections of the users that use it. Also, if you do not promo on Reddit servers like app giveaways then you’re being foolish and wasting my time because obviously this revenue would give you more access to keep upgrading!!!!

Custom Podcast
I’ve been enjoying using it to turn pdfs into audio as well as articles from a read later app called Reader. The custom podcast allows me to catch up on things hands free during my commute which other apps like Reader do not. I also like how there is a setting to allow different voices, almost like shuffle. So each article can have a different voice and that makes it pretty fresh.
Keep up the good work!!

need chinese voices

Thanks for pointing that out. Chinese voices aren’t available yet because we’re waiting for the AI system we use to add full Chinese language support. Once that’s ready, we plan to include them.
