Awful app and image recognition, doesn’t detect passports properly

Worst app I was trying to add passport on my daughter’s evisa but this app was not opened . I tried with different I phones, also with connection code. Nothing work. Finally I send the documents via post .
Whoever made this should retire
This department should genuinely just disband
Please create an app to view and show evisa
It is more suggestion rather than review but I would like to ask for mobile application where I can have access to my evisa. I am a UK resident and when I travel I am asked to provide immigration details so randomly. Last time it happened on the bag drop in Spain and lady didn’t accept share code, she wanted us to open exact page. Login on website still works 50/50 as you enter your details, otp, and page says you’ve already logged, you click the link on this page and it gets you to the very beginning paragraph explaining what evisa is.
Having an official mobile app where my details (evisa page, profile, share code generator) are easily accessible would make life easier. As a successful example I can point on HMRC app. Many Thanks!

Useless
Don’t bother downloading it. It doesn’t recognise QR codes & it wants you to use another device so a real faff for something that should be so simple.

Complete rubbish, not working at all — shameful
Does not work
It kept showing connecting and didn’t show anything else further. I’ve tried to restart it, use code and QRcode, delete the App then download it again, but none of these work. Please help to fix this issue. Thank you.
Weaponised Incompetence
I was locked out of the app for 1 hour because they didn't like the photo of my passport (which was automatically taken by the app, I had about 2 seconds to frame it and no warning of when the photo would be taken).

The app is very slow to load, and it often stops working half way when you are trying to load information. Very frustrating.

Useless application wouldn’t scan the Passport. Tried 100s of times and followed the instructions still it will not accept the documents
Horrible app
Another stupidly from home office. This app cannot be downloaded in any android phone. I cannot do it for UK for my 83 year old dad who was issued evisa from India. The old system of visa stamp was million times better.

Disaster of an app
If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I tried with 3 devices and three different phones to get the account linked to the app. I encountered at least 5 different kinds of errors and still couldn’t get through. Wasted precious hours and now have no option but to spend more time and effort sending my identity document by post. Shameful!

Worked initially, but not for adding new passport to eVisa
I had a name change and got a new passport after my eVisa had been approved on the old one. The app worked fine to add my old passport. I should be able to add the new identity document in a similar way: going through the flow brings me back to this app. But although it seemingly scans the new chip fine and gathers all my new info correctly, when I submit to the server the new passport number never appears in their system. My options are (1) a new biometrics appointment at my expense, which I find offensive, or (2) post documents to an office in Liverpool after arriving in the UK. Meanwhile I had to get a standard ETA on the new passport, even though I shouldn’t require one, because the airline could refuse me a boarding pass if the new document isn’t connected to a valid visa. Infuriating. If the system only worked, I could avoid so much hassle.
