Spent too much time trying to get lighting right, white tri-fold posterboard for background and it was rejected.
Save yourself a lot of agro and go to Walgreens - they are set up to do many diff passport sizes.

Finally I can get a U.K. sized photo in USA!
I live in America and can not get a U.K. Sized passport photo taken anywhere. For the last 11 years I have had several occasions where I've had to attempt this at home for all my family members and it takes so many attempts! It's literally something I dread and put it off for ages. When I found this app I was so excited and I managed to get a perfect photo for my daughters passport application the first time. The camera view shows a grid where the subjects head must fit within and you click. Done. It then asks you haw many prints you want and on what size paper. I didn't have printer ink so I sent the photo to my local pharmacy and picked it up an hour later. Job done! Simple to use, no frills, intuitive and useful.
