About
Unbed is an alarm you cannot turn off from bed.
Leave something across the room — a shampoo bottle, a coffee bag, a cereal box. Anything with a barcode. When the alarm goes off, the only way to stop it is to walk over and scan it.
WHY IT WORKS WHEN OTHER ALARMS DON'T
A single alarm is one button press away from silence. Unbed books a run of them in advance, so silencing one does nothing to the next. You are not fighting the app's willpower at 7am; you are fighting a queue that was set up last night.
IT KNOWS IF YOU CHEATED
Photographing the barcode the night before and scanning it off a screen is the obvious way around an alarm like this. Unbed checks the pedometer and the accelerometer: a scan with no steps and no movement doesn't count.
This check is on for everyone, including the free tier. An alarm that can be fooled isn't a cheaper product — it's a broken one.
FOUR WAYS TO STOP IT
Scan a barcode — walk to it. The one we recommend.
Walk it off — take real steps, verified by the pedometer.
Solve math — three sums.
Shake the phone — twenty shakes.
The app tells you plainly which of these can be done lying down. Two of them can.
FREE FOREVER
One wake-up, one code, barcode and math missions, and the full record of every morning you got up. Not a trial. Not a countdown. You can use Unbed for years without paying.

A STREAK THAT CAN'T PUNISH YOU
There is no "you lost your streak" screen. Miss a day and the count quietly starts again. Next to it sits a number that only ever goes up: every morning you have ever got up, since the day you installed this.
If you're the kind of person who deletes an app after breaking a chain, this one was built for you.
WHAT WE WON'T PRETEND
No app can stop you deleting it, and no app can stop you turning your phone off. Lowering the volume silences any iOS alarm, including this one — that's a system behaviour with no way around it, and every alarm app has it.
We'd rather say that here than have you discover it at 7am.
