A Big Miss
The Unbound app was missing so many seemingly obvious features that I found myself questioning the purpose of using the app at all.
A few examples:
Speaker notes and presentations were available through the web experience but were mysteriously missing from the app. As an iPad user, this was a major miss. If I have to leave the app and go to the website to access basic content associated with a session, why use the app?
The navigation was equally frustrating. When viewing a session, the room number appears next to a pin icon. Naturally, I assumed tapping the room number would show me where that room was on the map. Nope. Instead, it shows a list of every session taking place in that room. How is that more useful than showing me where the room actually is? To find it, you have to back out of the session, navigate to the map tab, and locate the room yourself.
Then there’s the scheduler. If a session is full, you can’t save it to your schedule, even though you can still attend by joining the standby line. So instead of bookmarking the session you’re interested in, you’re expected to somehow remember it. The app also won’t allow you to save sessions that overlap by even a few minutes. If I want to leave one session early to attend another, that should be my decision. A scheduler should help me organize my options, not decide them for me.
These aren’t obscure edge cases. They’re basic UX expectations for an event app: let me save what I’m interested in, help me find where I’m going, and give me access to the content associated with my sessions.
Instead, I repeatedly had to work around the app rather than have the app work for me. For software associated with HubSpot, I expected a much more intuitive and thoughtful user experience.

Incredibly helpful
The app is so good this year. Made schedule changes so much easier. I absolutely love it.
Total trash
Get your act together hubspot
A terrible app
This app is such a letdown. Half of the time, the navigation icons appear as blank circles (on iOS). More importantly, it shows My Schedule blank and tells me I haven’t registered to any sessions. But when I log in on the website, I can see My Schedule without any problems. Horrible, terrible are adjectives that come
to mind.
