If I knew how bad the app was, i wouldn’t have bought this camera
This is one of the worst apps that I’ve ever used.
Plainly, it is unreliable. It is a burden to use.
During configuration of the camera, it is common for the app to lose its connection, and you have to reconnect. Running through configuration menus requires reconnection over and over and over.
Given that configuration of the camera must come from the app, this is an incredibly frustrating user experience.
It has constant connection dropouts, it requires multiple changes to phone and app config in order to work. When it does work, the the connection dropouts.
The app feels like something a computer science student would have submitted in a university assessment that they failed.
It’s confusing that Uniden would allow this to be released alongside their camera. It doesn’t work well enough to even be a beta release.
The camera itself is great - but because the app used to configure is so bad, I’ll steer clear of Uniden cameras (and other products) in the future.

App needs a lot of work
Unable to access any of the Settings menu or change any of the camera options because when you open settings in the iOS, the app just crashes and closes come on guys - get to work!!
Currently, if you want to change any settings, you would need to connect to it using an android device change all your settings and then exit and use your iPhone for just basic functions. Clearly not acceptable. Even on android the menu system doesn’t have half the features that the user manual says it does.

Very bad app, poor connection to download video
I regret so much of buying this Uniden Dashcam. This app is ridiculous, it is very hard to keep the connection with an iPhone to download a video, mot of the time connection is lost when downloading. I have to remove the SD card and transfer using an PC or Macbook. Not recommended.
Dropping out constantly
The app drops out (and disconnects from cam) every time I press settings button.
Suitable
I have used this app with my dash cam for 2 years now. Haven’t had any issues connecting to my camera or downloading content through the app. Nice work.

Takes forever to view anything on the SD card. You’d be lucky to get it within the first 10 tries. I wish I would’ve went with a different brand of dash cam.
Worst dashcam app for the price of dashcam
70mai dash cam app is 5 times better and the dash cams are way cheaper.
This app crashes 6 times before you can download a video. The hotspot is not string enough gets disconnected even when sitting next to it.

Just bought the 60 R and I’m very disappointed with access on my phone. The app is very clunky and doesn’t work at all really too much trouble to worry about. I’m beginning to feel sorry that I ever bought this unit although the camera image is really good pick up your act and fix the app.
Use common sense
App works as an app should I had a UView and their app was shocking to use. Unidens app works perfectly ASLONG as you listen and read. Turn your mobile data off so you can connect to its wifi and your solid. 5 stars
Still clunky app
Very disappointed in the app when the product is so robust. Uniden need to get up the developer for an upgrade NOW! The failure of the app makes it difficult to recommend the product even though as a dash cam it works so well.

4 years I’ve had this camera and you still haven’t fixed the app! Camera quality is fine. App however is absolute garbage. For the money paid for this camera it’s not worth it. Should’ve just bought a Gator dash cam! Pulled over on the side of the road to check footage and the annoying voice says I’m “connected to Dashview application” but all it’s showing me is a black screen with the Uniden Dashview logo and I can’t select anything. Can’t review footage, can’t stop recording, can’t switch camera views. NOTHING. I’ve followed all the instructions, turned off Mobile Data, etc. Still doesn’t work. I used to sell these cameras at a retail store, glad I don’t anymore because I no longer have to have that awkward conversation of “Don’t buy Uniden, I did and it’s garbage”.

Not suitable for iPhones
I would say the device is good but we need to get an update for having a more easy way to connect to iPhone models. I can’t myself connect to the device, played around wasted my 3/4 hours to just connect with phone but I couldn’t. I request the developers to please give us an update for the iPhone users to let it connect easily. The only solution is to manual eject the memory card and use a card reader like old school and use in the laptop. But we have spent almost $450 not get into all this manual card reader in 2025! Please help me out

Works just fine
As a few reviewers have noted, as long as you disable mobile data & connect just with wifi, the app works just fine!
Connectivity
Disappointed with the app, you should be able to access it with mobile data, to access any of the features you must have mobile data off and wifi on whilst at home and connected. App needs a lot of work to improve.

Iphone 16pro max IoS18.4.1 and i have followed all steps, downloaded new app, fully updated phone,connected to camera wifi, allowed location, allowed network, connected to camera, AND NOTHING

Absolute garbage
Worst app and dash cam, won’t connect to app or camera anymore . Took to jb hifi for warranty but could not find fault, yet still doesn’t record anymore or even connect to app. Absolute garage.
