Switch banks
I came here to say that this bank is ridiculous. Here’s the reason I’m going to be switching banks:
On a random Tuesday I made a $107 purchase at Home Depot. I knew I had about $200-$230 in my account. It’s not usually that low but I knew I had enough for a small grocery trip but I couldn’t check the app because it would not let me log in. So I went to Aldi and go to check out, out my card in - “insufficient funds”. The cashier told me that the lady checking out right before me couldn’t purchase her items either and she also used United. Again, I couldn’t do a quick check on the app to see if I had the money or not because it was not working. Tried to call the office and of course it’s an automated message that lead nowhere. I decided to drive to the nearest United bank. When I explained what happened they acted like nothing was wrong with their system, but then eventually they admitted it had been down the day before and they were still trying to get it back to normal. A customer service rep sat down with me and looked at my account (since I couldn’t!!) and said Home Depot had charged me twice, and aldi took the last $12 that was in my account. Now tell me. How does that happen? She was able to dispute the second charge of $107, but the $12 that aldi was able to take- even tho it literally declined at the store, I didn’t buy/take anything, they weren’t able to get that back. So if it told me it “declined,” why the heck wasn’t it declined ? Obviously I have to plan my money carefully I’m not a millionaire, $12 is $12! The customer service rep said she and her colleagues have never seen that happen. Oh great. That doesn’t make me feel better! Also how was Home Depot able to charge me twice? I don’t think it’s a coincidence both of those things happened the same day. I’m angry because who knows how often this happens. If I had not had the little amount I did have in my account I probably wouldn’t have ever checked it (half the time can’t check it anyway because the app doesn’t work!) So long story longer, I don’t feel safe with this bank. They can’t explain how funds were able to be taken out… they don’t know why I got charged twice… I always have issues with the card they gave me…I’ve just never dealt with so much inconvenience and inconsistency from a bank in my life.

Updated Look
The new update to the app is so modernized and user friendly!! It came with new features that made the app even more useful. Love it!
Speed is slow
The app is always loading very slowly! Even when trying to get into your account. The new update didn’t help at all!
Day 1 flaws
Attempt 1 at logging in: Tried setting up Face ID, allowed me to change my password, got into my Access United account, no bank accounts visible.
Attempt 2: Tried logging in with Face ID, which told me I would have to change my password again, so I logged in with typed credentials. Got into my Access United account, showed my bank accounts. Tapped checking account to see details, and it got stuck loading. Force closed the app. Got an email I used an incorrect password, despite having just changed it to what I had entered.
Attempt 3: Changed my password *again*, this time using “Forgot Password?” link. Got into my Access United account, displayed bank accounts, got stuck on loading screen again… Force closed the app and came here.

Constantly down or lies about passwords being incorrect
This is the worst app I ever used you can’t even put your password in without this stupid app saying it’s incorrect even though it’s correct I’ve noticed this happens when the app is down or in maintenance I can not explain how this app took me on a journey to reset a password! Even though it’s the bank’s fault it’s ridiculous whoever coded this app really should put a notification in saying the app is down because sometimes when the app is down it doesn’t tell you which is sad.
