expensive

it’s nice but why is it so expensive? tbh i dont think it should have a paywall in the first place but for $10 a week or 70 a year is insane to me.

sadly a waste of time

takes multiple minutes to even make an account just to find out it costs £50 a year to even use it???

Actually Works…

I hit a “record” recently in terms of my Screen Time usage. I knew that I had to make a change because I was missing out on making memories in the real world and instead observing other people’s highs and lows. As a result this put me in a vicious cycle of regret, but also having FOMO with respect to social media. I have tried the Screen Time app on my iPhone, I have tried blocking out the social media apps altogether, but nothing was sticking, and I could feel my mental health deteriorating as a direct result of spending so many hours in the day scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling. I tried this out on a whim and I have been using it with success for almost 2 weeks. My time on social media has totaled to 45 minutes a day which is less doom scrolling and more quick checks. I love the feeling of earning my Screen Time minutes and I am very cognizant of how many minutes I want to spend on social media and ensuring that I am not spending any extra time than necessary. I have also noticed that I am gaining solace by sitting in quiet and enjoying the moment instead of reaching for my phone to fill my boredom. This has been a game changer for me and it’s a must for anyone who is serious about digital detoxing, at least in terms of social media and all of the dangers that come with it in terms of mental health.

The support is…

The app is good but i get the impression that the support release bit updates and dont care about the bugs😐

Require subscription

Was absolutely stoked seeing all the videos on Insta of this concept, went to find out it’s 100% paid subscription. Don’t waste your time people

Not free

Not free. Deleted instantly

Money

No way I have to spend money to try to be healthy these days?? And what happened to apps costing money to download, not downloading them, signing up, getting excited and then realising it costs like $15 a week? It should not be that expensive.

No trial

No one will pay for it after speding time setting it up for no reason

Payant

C’est 60€ par an ou 10€ par semaines c’est un système horrible, si vous souhaitez en faire une bonne appli peut être essayer de rassurer le consommateur en laissant 1 mois d’essai gratuit.

I hate this

IM JUST A KID WHI WANTS LESS SCREEN TIME AND TO BE MORE ACTIVE! AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY 10 DOLLARS A MONTH!! IM A KID! I DONT JUST HAVE MONEY

Scam

Over priced

Changed My Life for Better, Improvements Still Possible

The underlying concept behind this app is brilliant, as it compels me to do useful things with my time, in order to *earn* that time spent giving my brain a rest with a scroll (mostly on YouTube or news websites). It’s helped make my relationship with YouTube much healthier, which has been a recurring problem in my life for years.

This app could however go further. To my knowledge, there is no laptop/browser integration, meaning users could just migrate their ‘scroll time’ to their computer (albeit there are ways around it, e.g. blocking websites from the command prompt as I’ve done).

I also find the interface really clunky. I rarely track my ‘unrot time’ with a timer, and I hate that I have to set it to indefinite every single time. Furthermore, it happens a lot that I’ll realise I need access to a certain app during a certain activity (e.g. I need access to my banking apps while working, or access to Spotify while cooking etc.). The process of quitting the activity and setting the permitted apps up correctly is super clunky and takes longer than it should. There should be some kind of shortcut for this, e.g. a pause function that allows you make changes to the activity settings. Also, for custom activities you only get options of 10, 20 or 30 coins/hr, why can’t I set it to 15? Or indeed anywhere in between?

Overall however, a good app with a brilliant underlying concept.

Wish there was a free version - £49.99/year is unbelievable

I was so excited to try this, but it costs way too much so I won’t be able to use it… I can see some comments saying £24 a year, but mine says £49.99 per year, and £7.99 a week, that’s by no means affordable in the current financial climate. Really sad because I do genuinely want to use it. I wish there were a free version. I get the need to profit off your app, but this is way too much. :(

Bad but good

Looked like a great app that I would love to have to save me from my phone but it was 69 dollars a month

fake free app

stop marketing this app as free to its users. you are more concerned about collecting “introductory information about people” than you are about providing a service, you need to pay for an overpriced subscription service to use a single feature of their app. it’s sad to see what the state of “self help” apps have become. its more about making a quick buck than actually helping people. sad and pathetic.

Please fix the bugs

Was excited to use the app and it actually reduced my screen use a lot. But the bugs and glitches are everywhere: some buttons don’t work, challenge progress not updating… also can’t find a place to report them in the app. Appreciate the idea, but the app feels unpolished for something with a subscription fee.

Crazy expensive

£50 for a one year subscription is crazy for what seems to be a pretty straightforward app. Not a fan that it doesn’t tell you upfront you need a subscription either, just wasting my time

Pretty Good

I’ve been looking for something like this’s for a while. I used to have minimalist for my Samsung phone and it was great but turn I moved to iPhone and tried it but it ducked for iPhone. I couldn’t seem to find a suitable replacement for a while but this is certainly it. My ability to control my screen time on my phone has shout up dramatically since using this app.

Nice App

It basically has been the same app for a few months now, the developers says they add a few new features but I don’t see any. So please let us create our own quests and please add more exercises like squats and burpees tv and make there be a way to earn the Unrot points by like walking. Also add other things to buy with the Unrot points like boosts etc. And finally there has only been one 28 days challenge from April-May and it was fun and I actually locked in and without it I haven’t been locking in as much.

Please Unrot, We need you to listen.
