Love the new UI
Needs app intents
Response from developer
Thanks for the technical feedback! Currently, iOS requires an unlock for hardware controls to ensure safety. However, our team is exploring newer Apple frameworks like App Intents to allow for more seamless Siri execution while locked. We appreciate you helping us push the app forward!
Unreliable
Response from developer
We’re sorry for the annoyance! Due to OS restrictions on background Bluetooth, the app must remain active to maintain the connection and timer. To help, try setting your 'Work days/hours' to keep reminders on schedule while the app runs in the background. We’re working hard to improve this within technical limits!
App appears to be broken with iOS 26
Constantly crashing
Response from developer
We are sorry to hear you’re experiencing crashes, that’s not the experience we want for our users. Please reach out to us at support@upliftdesk.com with your device and OS details so we can help troubleshoot your issues. Your feedback is important to us, and we’re actively working on updates to enhance the app experience.
Limited functionality, all very poorly designed
When attempting to set the Sit height - the app tells me that 1.6” (the setting where the device is lowered to desk height) is out of the device’s range.
Unfortunately, since the app is completely useless, 1 star seems appropriate.
Response from developer
We are sorry to hear you are having this issue. The app code was created per a previous version of the E7 Converter manual which is causing the issue. Please follow the Height Calibration steps in the E7 manual, but enter the height measured from the floor to the top of the converter's worksurface (not the desktop or keyboard tray) while it is in its lowest position. Then you should be able to save the sit and stand heights based on the distance from the floor to the worksurface. While not an ideal solution, this will work until we can update the app to align it with the E7 Converter keypad display.
Decent but basic
Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback! The ability to set a work schedule is actually a feature we are working on and hope to release very soon. We are looking into Apple health integration as well.
Try it on the Mac
Others complained about bluetooth connectivity from their phone when stepping away from their desk but if you use this from your computer you won't have that problem.
As for the app itself, I don't think the UX is great but the functionality seems to be there. Here's to hoping it gets better over time. Perhaps a native Mac (menu bar?) app would be ideal for this.
Altogether Uplift seems like a great company. Thanks to them I have a high quality desk with all sorts of features and options to make it work well for my use case.
Wanting Widget Support
Response from developer
Thank you for your comments and suggestions. We are happy to hear that you are generally happy with the app. We are continually working on new features and improvements and will look into the use of widgets for adjusting the desk height.
Horrible app
The desk has 4 memories and the app has only 2. Worse they call them “sit” and “stand” and limit the ranges (for example stand cannot be set lower than 35.5.
Had I known this advance I would not have bought their product.
No response form support.
Response from developer
Thanks for your candid comments about the app. If you will send us an email to info@uplifdesk.com, we would be interested to hear what your specific issues are with the connection process so we can make improvements. We will look into increasing the number of memory settings and removing the range limits. Lastly, we are sorry to hear you didn't get a response from our support team, we are looking into this.
Could be so much more
- A watch app
- Shortcuts access to raise/lower the desk
- Additional height save points besides sit & stand
Adding the above would make this app really shine.
Lower quality app than I expected
* let me integrate with Siri automations so I can schedule to have my desk raise in the morning and after lunch.
* UI is clunky and should be redone
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. We are working on adding Siri integration, but due to potential safety risks, we have decided against offering automatic movement via scheduling. The app cannot access saved height settings from the control box so they must be entered in the app. Alternatively, you can move the desk via the keypad and use the app for reminders. Please send us any UI improvement ideas at info@upliftdesk.com.
good app with but need improvement
2. Bluetooth disconnect too easily. I need wider range and some buffer time to disconnect with my table.
3. Wish the app can automatically move the table up and down base on the reminder setup
Response from developer
Thank you for your suggestions for improving the app. We will explore the ability to use the phone's sound options for notifications in future UPLIFT Desk App revisions. Regarding the Bluetooth range, typical Bluetooth devices, including the UPLIFT Bluetooth Adapter, have a range of approximately 30 feet providing there are no obstructions, such as walls, which can decrease the range. During the app development process, we explored automatic desk movement based on reminder intervals, but for potential safety reasons, we decided to not include this feature.
Apple Health Sync
Needs integration with Apple Health
Bluetooth disconnect renders reminders useless
Just bought an Uplift desk and so far I’m loving it!! I decided to add in the Bluetooth adapter for access to this app and unfortunately the functionality falls short. This app does what it needs to and has nice features that enhance the experience of the desk. I’d love to see continued development in the software such as the ability to automatically raise in lower desk at certain times of day (this may be a safety hazard so I can understand why they may leave it out) or, even better, be able to integrate Uplift actions into iOS shortcuts. Such as “when I have a calendar event on my work calendar automatically raise the desk”. Unfortunately the core functionality that makes this app especially useful, the sit and stand reminders, is almost entirely useless due to Bluetooth limitations and the app’s inability to work around them. As soon as my phone is more than 10 feet away from the desk, the Bluetooth connection drops between the desk and my phone. The 2 consequences of this are: 1. I have to reopen the app every time once I return to be desk and 2. the stand reminder timer resets entirely. This unfortunately means I either have to leave my phone at my desk ALWAYS or accept that I cannot use the stand reminders which to me is the #1 reason to get this bluetooth adapter. As a attempted workaround I downloaded the iOS app to my Mac (since I rarely remove my machine from my desk) and it connected fine. BUT for some reason the option to set reminders is absent when on desktop. I’m assuming this is because the iOS app cannot utilize mac notifications and it’s just not a compatible feature. It’s really a shame because the biggest issue I have with standing desks is my own apathy/forgetfulness. I thought this would be a great solution to ensure I continue to stand at my desk but I’ll have to wait for more development I suppose.
Response from developer
This is great feedback, thank you! We are currently looking into adding iOS shortcut capability and hope you stick with us for future updates. As for the app connection, the range for the app to stay connected should be about 30 feet from your desk, but could be reduced due to certain electromagnetic interferences. We will look into the ability to have the app auto-reconnect to the desk without having to open the app to reconnect, we agree that is a nuisance. We will also explore reminder capabilities for MAC desktops. Thanks again for your valuable feedback.
Incredible app
It also provides invaluable tips on ergonomics, and I feel like I’m an expert now! If you are on the fence about getting this app, do yourself a favor and get the app!
