Ideal replacement for Evernote … unless

I have been a user of Evernote since 2009. Over those years, I loved it and stored all kinds of recipes, web clippings and other vital information in it. I tried to move to OneNote. But it was clunky and unintuitive. I started using Apple Notes cause it was faster to open and put in simple info. A couple years ago Evernote doubled their price. I looked for new options. But nothing was close. So I endure that first doubling of price. But then they did it again. So I tried OneNote, Apple Notes, Obsidian, NotesNook and various other options. None could import my old notes from Evernote acceptably. Almost all crashed while importing my (large note library), over 4000 notes. Apple notes crashed and performed poorly. OneNote couldn’t do the import. And even after working through the hiccups. Its import sucked and looked terrible. NotesNook crashed trying to import them. And Obsidian was just more than I bargained for. I also tried Joplin, which did import them, but constantly reported errors on syncing and importing. The last one I found was UpNote. It imported everything perfectly, and is much more responsive and user friendly than Evernote ever was. I’ve been using it now for over 6 months and can say, it has been an amazing replacement for Evernote. It loads faster, it’s easier to use and it allows you to pin notes to individual notebooks, or to the main notebook listing. I find myself using it more regularly than Evernote, because it’s faster to open. Quicker to organize and the search is better. Granted, it doesn’t have the breadth of features Evernote has. But I didn’t use most of those anyway. I find it more robust than Apple Notes, and far faster than Evernote!! I’ve been loving it and likely won’t switch again until they raise their price to the point it’s unaffordable. I would highly recommend using this app for all your note taking needs!!!

Best notes app

Keep up good work

Great app, but syncing needs improvement

The app is simple, clean, and easy to use. However, the lack of reliable syncing between the desktop and mobile versions is a major drawback. Notes made on one device don’t consistently appear on the other. Please improve the cross-device sync, it would make this app much more useful.

The most amazing app for notes 😊

I’ve tried a lot of note‑taking apps. I switched from Bear to upNote. upNote has features that are important and convenient for me that aren’t available in Bear. But I really wish upNote would include the ability to draw Mermin diagrams. Thank you for such a wonderful app! I hope more useful features will be added!

Great app except app login requirement

I’ve used this app across multiple devices for a while now after migrating from Evernote and it’s been great overall.
The only really annoying thing I wish they’d fix is having to re-log back in every time you come off or minimize the app on mobile devices, this is very frustrating as I often switch to other apps to look stuff up a copy and paste while I am using UpNote.
