Can’t believe that Apple would allow an app on the app store that forces you to install a zip 2 work

To get the auto shutdown feature, which I would say is the main feature, you are forced to download a zip file for the server? This is not safe, and could very easily be a strategy for installing malware and trojan horses. I will be reporting the app. The server and shutdown component should be part of the app or a separate app on the app store.

Response from developer

App is not forcing anything, please don’t spread misinformation. App Store apps cannot shut down macOS, so an external tool is needed (as always; now there is a management app to streamline the installation process). It is optional and is not needed for the app to run in order to monitor UPS devices. Power Server scripts are open source for full transparency and you can install them manually if you don’t want to use helper app. Detailed instructions are available on our support page.

Stopped working with Tahoe upgrade

The local server monitor stopped working, and the developers website to get instructions on setup has an Invalid SSL certificate error from Cloudflare, so no way to fix it. Looks like vaporware.

Response from developer

Hello, Website issues was just temporary, application is still being active and updated. Kind regards

Works perfectly on M4 Mac Mini (Sequoia 15.4)

The app was easy to set up and is surprisingly simple and intuitive. It does exactly what I need. I have it monitoring the status of an APC Back-UPS 1500 (connected by USB to an Unraid server running the Network UPS Tools plugin) and set to power off the Mini and other devices when the battery runs low. Amazing!

Does not work, can’t get refund

The app will not open, I’ve followed all troubleshooting recommended from other people who’ve had this issue and nothing helps. I tried to request a refund but get told “You have no purchases that are eligible for a refund.”

Response from developer

Apple handles refunds, so we can’t participate in the process.

Great Simple Tool!

Love when I find awesome developer tools like this on the appstore. I wanted a quick and easy gui for my NUT-connected UPSs and this worked plug and play! So happy and love supporting fellow developers. Great work!
