Overcomplicated redesign is ruining a once-simple app
As a long-time Upstox user, I am extremely disappointed with the direction this app is heading. I am not a daily day trader; I simply invest manage my portfolio, invest, and close the app until the next time. Upstox used to be great for this, but the recent design changes have turned a once-clean platform into a cluttered mess.
In the name of "upgrading," they have made basic navigation unnecessarily complicated. Finding standard services and essential portfolio details takes way too much effort now. The home page is crowded with irrelevant features that many of us never asked for:
Unsolicited F&O & Strategy Tools: Pushing complex options trading strategies and trade ideas directly onto the homepage clutter is useless for long-term investors. Anyone who actively trades F&O already knows what tools they need; forcing it on everyone else just creates noise.
Intrusive "Expert Advice" & Mutual Fund SIPs: Putting aggressive recommendations front and center makes the app feel cheap and chaotic. If someone wants to start a Mutual Fund SIP, they will intentionally navigate to the MF section—it doesn't need to take over the main screen.
Upstox needs to realize that adding more clutter isn't an upgrade—it's bad UX. Making the app hard to understand for simple, long-term investors will only drive customers away. If this bloated interface continues to prioritize pushed features over clean usability, I will consider closing my Demat account and shifting my portfolio to a simpler competitor.

Can’t see the chart properly
From past few days I can see charts of options only on half of my screen And today I bought an option which was triggered after 20 seconds and I think 20 seconds is a lot of time in option . It changes everything. I hope you can fix it and this review is not allowing me to share pictures otherwise I would have shared a screenshot of how my chart looks .

Hi Pritesh, upon checking, our app is operating without any issues. However, the issue may be localized to your end. To tackle this issue, let's start by troubleshooting steps here: i.ki.show/2AAC72C627 Try to reinstall & kill & relaunch the app. When an order is placed, it's sent to exchange immediately. The execution depends on the market depth (availability of buyers/sellers). If issue persists, share your contact details at i.ki.show/888A203AA4 along with screenshot/short video.
MF Portfolio is not showing when you click on MF on the App
When you click on the MF section on the app the portfolio and invested MFs and XIRR is not showing which was there in previous versions.
New update messed it up
I don’t understand why they did it, but now it feels shady. I can’t easily distinguish between my portfolio’s profit and loss percentages, amounts, and other details. It’s so bad. It’s truly awful.
MF Active SIP Date is not showing Correctly
Under Mutual fund section the active SIP date is showing the current date for all the SIP. It should show the SIP dates.Kindly fix it
