Have yet to land the first client and am a military veteran with 15-20 years of experience in Executive Administrative experience, Operations Management, Genealogy Research and Recruiting/ Talent Evaluation. I have a BS and MS degree and 2 Certificates in Entrepreneurship and Virtual Assistance.

App issue

The app keeps freezing when i’m going through proposals from future hires. Developers please fix this bug.

Not realistic

I wouldn’t have posted review if you didn’t ask me, but my honest opinion is I shouldn’t have to pay to get leads on a job and generally, it’s easy to go upside down on a gig

Poor understanding

I hired someone from their network to do some work., and was given such a hard time by Upwork. You had all the information you needed from me and you still gave me and the client a hard time. There is protection and there is overkill

Worst mobile app

I'm using the latest iPhone and this mobile app stops on every moment while reviewing the candidate proposals. This is very bad at one point I thought of just using it by restarting the app every time he crashes because I really need to get the work done, but I have reached to a point where I cannot use this anymore. Installing Fiverr now.

They allow scammers on the app, and don’t give fair support after, even when there’s proof of the scam

Account Permanently Suspended Due to Verification Error- No Human Support

My Upwork account was permanently suspended after a verification issue that I never received an explanation for. I followed every instruction the site gave, and waited- only to be told my account was closed with no meaningful details about what went wrong.
When I tried to resolve this I could not reach a human. The only option was a chat bot, which repeated the same response over and over again and never escalated my case. I repeatedly typed requests to speak with an agent and to escalate to Trust and Safety, but the bot kept sending generic troubleshooting steps and links that led nowhere. After days of back-and-forth with automated system I still have access to my account, no clear reason for the suspension, and no human review.
This response cost me time, income and trust. Upwork’s verification process and customer support are broken: automated systems are allowed to make permanent account decisions without any real oversight or a reliable appeals path. If you value fair review and the ability to speak to a real person about account issues, DO NOT RELY ON UPWORK.

Freezes constantly

For some reason the app will freeze on every other screen I go to. Makes it basically useless

I was wondering if someone ever has received an offer from any of the companies. There are so many people that actually send you a message and you never heard back. People that schedule an interview and later ignores you. That sucks . This platform sucks and most people want to pay the less for the best
