Worst experience ever
I have had the worst experience ever, the app kept refusing my payment method, and there was no customer service number to call, and obviously they make it extremely difficult to find the chat box. When i eventually contacted them they said wait 48 hours, after 48 hours still nothing was resolved just a waste of time.
The freelancer i managed to hire didn’t do the job, but because he cancelled the contract i had no option to leave a review, reviews are only for completed projects, which doesn’t make things totally transparent.
I regret using this app and have had an awful experience

I like upwork but the app is unstable and constantly asking me to log in every other day
First of all, we like upsork but the app is not good . It asks me to sign in every other day. It’s the most annoying because I have to go through 10 steps to sign in as well and instead login being on the big screen, it’s create new account.
What’s worst is that everytime it asks me to login, it won’t suggest my account and password. I have super long password that I don’t remember so it’s better if I just don’t use this app since I can’t sign in fast or at least keep signed in !

Never works
Never works: says Error 403 (N) when I try to view a proposal or schedule a meeting. And having to log in every single time you exit the app is such a hassle. Worst app ever.
Cant buy connects on app
It’s exciting to see all the jobs available but unless you have an invite, there is no way to apply without buying connects, the needing the connections isn’t an issue, but on the app you cant purchase connects or subscribe for a monthly plan….theres no “Purchase”/“confirm purchase” option…..how am i meant to buy….😓

Slow Experience
The app doesn’t work properly. It’s very slow, and the pages often don’t load correctly. The only feature I can use properly is messaging. Sometimes messaging is also not work properly.🙁
BEWARE platform full of scammers and no support.
Writing this review to just let everyone know that Upwork is a terrible platform with most of the jobs for people just starting out or trying to learn a new skill this is not the place for that, most of the jobs are just slop scam job listings everywhere that takes months before Upwork removes it and even worse part about Upwork is the support they do not take any of the freelancers on there platform serious only the clients they favor and on top of that they don’t even try to investigate anything so i’m assuming the support is honestly just AI. If you;; already have had a skill in something or experience with freelancer work, this is for you. If not, then start looking other places unless you want to have an annoying experience.

Almost impossible to get your first job
Very disappointing experience. I spent a lot of time creating my profile and applying for jobs, but the platform makes it extremely difficult for new freelancers to get their first opportunity. Without previous reviews and experience on the platform, it feels almost impossible to get hired. The application process takes a lot of time and effort with very little feedback or response from clients.
I understand that competition is part of freelancing, but the experience for new freelancers is extremely frustrating and discouraging.
