Useful app
I got this because I want to check the news and be able to SEE the news in an app. There’s no complicated membership requirement forced on me. So I appreciate this is available. 👍🏽
“Share” doesn’t seem to work
According to FAQ I should be able to chose an article and select the “share” function on the right. The share link/button/function does not appear. I like to email articles to my self so that I can have AI read them to me when I work out.
Forced Expedia Ad Clicks
The ads are deliberately sensitive on this app. Even as you’re scrolling past to get to the articles, it would typically send you to an unwanted ad page that you did not intentionally access. The most egregious of the overly sensitive ads is Expedia. I’ve probably opened that webpage more times than any other in my entire search history. It makes me infuriated each time and determined to never use Expedia for any purpose.

App never opens
iPhone 16 Pro is up to date along with the app and I’m using strong WiFi. The app will not open at all. Get the logo then a spinning circle. Even deleted it and reinstalled it with no luck. Now I’m missing all the grammatical errors you sprinkle through your headlines because nobody proofreads anything before posting it online.

When I tap on new Entertainment section I get “Loading Error” There was a problem connecting. Please check your connection and try again. All other headings in Entertainment work except Top Stories.

Used to be a great app
This used to be a great app until they started "improving" it. Now it refreshes randomly so I can't come back and finish an article if I get interrupted. And the Entertainment section now takes me to the web version. Honestly, the web version of USA Today sucks. That's why I subscribe to the app. If I wanted to wrestle with the web version, I wouldn't have bothered to download the app. I'm disappointed in how much this app has changed over the years, and not for the better.

Front "page" tech issues
I have subscribed for years and read daily. I've generally found this easy and informative but lately many of the articles on the Top Stories section don't open when I try to tap/open them - very odd. I have to search for the key words in the article title, then I can open from the search page. Is it my phone? Don't know but the sports section still showing NBA as the first sport even though the season has been over for months is definitely not my phone. The ability to personalize the sports section was removed for a while now (maybe a year?), but that hadn't worked as intended for a couple years (it would lose the personalization and revert to standard every time). So now I get the sports scores and schedules elsewhere. If this tapping on the Top Stories section articles continues, I'll have to switch my news app, too.

Paid Version Shows Ads - That is Complete BS - App Keeps Needlessly Charging for Worse - Fix it - you have to reset it 3 or 4 times on PAID version to finally get ads to disappear. Now the Entertainment section takes you to the web version - which it terrible. Fix this. That's not what I bought. The Developers are horrible. On iPad the version looks god awful - make it the way it was when it worked. Come on do better.
