I can’t book a ride to work anymore because they have a “limited distance” and it exceeds “the max distance allowed”. horrible

This app is awful!!! No use for it at all!! I can’t even book a ride for work simply because it’s not in any of the service zones. Which is crazy because you have to pass up my job to get to the service zones they do have available. Don’t waste your time downloading this and creating an account. It has no real use.

I’m so sick of this bruh every time I use this app I’m always late cause they will sit in one spot like we ain’t got some where to be I just had to call off work cause of the driver never came I order my via around 7:22 it’s said it when be to me in 59 mins😒 I waited and waited when she was 9-10 mins away I gotta text saying my ride 5 and it was was still 10 mins out and was riding around and was going the wrong way like I had to drop my my child then head to work could even do that td and I order another one my ride was shower went back to the app it was gone it didn’t let me order another one cause my ride was still on there but could see nothing but wat Yu see when Yu open the app

Excellent way of transportation
I am so grateful for Via. I don’t know what I would do without them. The price is great and they are great ! Some drivers are friendly and kind, fun to talk to and I am so blessed and happy . Thank you so much !!

It keeps getting worse and worse
With each update via service gets worse and worse with longer pick up times, pick up and drop off locations bring several minutes away or in dangerous areas and not allowing long range drop off spots which cuts off 3/4 of locations and screwed over people who now can't get to saint Clair hospital anymore since they discontinued the bus to there. And the app is still the worst routing ever for a ride share app that isn't made for a place like stl.

Remove 7 miles restriction

The ride was great the only issue was the app told me to be at a certain location but the driver at a location that was further Once that is fixed this will be a great and much needed service for the community
Same Messed up App...
Trying to book a ride can take an average of 30-45mins. It seems like alot of the times, at least on the old app, there used to have drivers pick up 4 or 5 people to get to their destination. But now most have the back seats closed and not used, so only 2 people at a time can get lucky enough to book a ride… that’s if you can successfully book a ride, and the driver shows up to your stop without your ride getting cancelled or pushed further back than the initial expected time to get to your destination.
There was no need for a new app because service got worse, and that includes not being able to contact the driver to let them know where you are at because sometimes the drivers’ gps takes them to long and wrong routes instead of where you are supposed to get picked up at.
STL Metro really needs to bring back buses in areas where they got rid of them, especially at night around like 11:00pm-12:30am. A messed up cluster of a service.

Drivers Navigating Route
Although via is a discounted rideshare there a few difficulties I have . Sometimes the drivers have multiple people in the queue. And some of the routes are not prioritized or missed completely. There should be better contact and offline gps .
Just delete the app
It’s pointless . You gotta pray and hope you get a ride at night. Never ever a guaranteed ride.
Waiting and not getting ride
Before I got a ride early and had to wait just 15 or 25 minutes around and nowadays I try to book a ride it shows it is not available, it is shows continues for 1-1/2 hours after waiting a long time I have to choose another way for reaching to my destination. Gave me hope and then waiting a long time I did not find any ride.

Needs updates and improvements
The pickup spots need to be more on point like uber and Lyft instead of some random stop you gotta walk to because i missed a ride today because of that and the driver i gave clear directions and the driver still didn’t know where i was at then told me i had to book another ride. Plus this app needs more locations that you can book from like Hazelwood for example alot of people have jobs out there so i know that would help this app still is good just needs more improvement and easier direction for the driver and the passenger

Expecting something good and uplifting but got disappointed. It takes more time to process a ride and also afyer processing sometimes the driver does not shows up in the app. Then i tried to book another ride but it says you have already booked a ride and therefore cannot book, but the driver doesnot shows in the app, the feed pops up as a beginning. Not a very good upgrade

The app is great but the via metro service is not. Booked at ride for myself and another person at a laundromat after doing laundry. The driver or partner refused us because of the laundry basket. We were waiting an hour to get the ride. It started to pour down rain, as a result of this our feet, shoes, and laundry bag got soaked because of this. According to via policy about bags says one small bag or reasonable bag size that can be put on your lap is allowed but it says nowhere about laundry baskets.

Same problems like the old app
Was expecting a good change l with this newer app, but it’s still a problem booking rides. Not only that, but when you are next in line and supposedly are within 5 mins of being picked up, sometimes drivers completely miss your stop and goes to who knows where. They sometimes don’t even be picking other people up. Your 5 mins wait time turned into 20-35mins, and that’s IF you get picked up. Idk if it’s a problem with the app not showing drivers sometimes where to pick people up or what.
This app was supposed to be an improvement, but apparently not. You also can no longer call the driver to let them know that they passed up your pick up spot. Smh
