Unter iPadOS 26.4 stürzt Safari in der Tab-Ansicht "kompakt" ab, sobald Sie das Menü einer beliebigen (!) Erweiterung öffnen möchten. Dies ist ein Bug in Safari 26.4, den Erweiterungen leider nicht beheben können. Apple hat diesen Bug in den Betas der nächsten OS-Version aber bereits behoben. Bis diese veröffentlicht wird können Sie das Problem vermeiden indem Sie in der "Einstellungen"-App unter "Apps > Safari > Tabs" einen anderen Tab-Stil wählen. Vidimote fully works on iOS 26. If you're running iPadOS 26.4, when you're using the new compact tab bar, opening ANY extension's menu will crash Safari. To work around it, please switch back Safari to the separate tab bar layout in the Setting app. This is a bug in Safari, affects all extensions and is not caused by Vidimote in any way. Beyond this, Safari can also have issues with new extensions right after they were installed. In that case, restarting Safari, disabling/reenabling the extension and - if that didn't help - rebooting the device typically fix the issue. This is not an issue of Vidimote or any other extension, however. Finally, please also verify you've given Vidimote the necessary permissions as - without these permissions - it, like any other extension, can not function. Extension doesnt work on ipad

iPadOS 26.4 broke support for web extension popups when using the new Compact tab layout - for ALL extensions, not just Vidimote. Please update to iPadOS 26.5, where Apple fixed this problem.

Please check that you have given Vidimote the necessary permissions for the sites you want to use it with. If an extension doesn’t operate correctly after installation or updating, turning it off an on again in Safari‘s settings, relaunching Safari and rebooting the device usually resolve this Safari issue. You've run into an issue Safari sometimes has with newly installed extensions. It is not specific to Vidimote, can affect any extension and can typically be fixed permanently by 1) turning the respective Safari extension off, then on again in Safari settings 2) and rebooting the iPhone right after. I'd appreciate if you could either remove or revise your 1 star review since the reason you wrote it is actually a Safari bug - and Vidimote has neither caused it, nor can it work around it. It's very easily fixable for any user, however.

Thanks for your feedback! You can already go up to 10x, by changing the upper speed limit in the Vidimote app. :) Experience has shown, however, that, depending on which device you use, Safari can have issues to play back video faster than 2x.

Safari on iOS always sets it to 100% - and you're supposed to control volume by adjusting the system-wide volume of your device. On macOS, on the other hand, Safari does support individual volume settings for videos - and Vidimote of course also supports it there.
