Reliable App, but Refund Was Never Received
I had an issue with VI Hail where I had funds on the app and requested a refund when I no longer needed to use the app because we were leaving. I was told the refund was processed, but I never received it in my bank account. After multiple attempts to resolve it with support and being provided a trace number that my bank could not locate, I had to dispute the charge through my bank. The dispute was ultimately approved.
That said, the app itself was very reliable for finding rides in the Virgin Islands, where transportation can be limited and it was helpful in getting around.
I’m sharing this so others are aware to be careful when adding funds or relying on refunds through this app. Make sure you follow up closely and keep records of everything.

Extremely overpriced for a 6 min ride I had to pay 22$ and that’s just not right. Taxing people on a tax free island is insane. This has to stop. This is nothing but money hungry nonsense! I can’t even get home safely without the weirdo drivers as well. Just horrible and overpriced!!!!!!🛑 The GPS also does not work. Mostly all the drivers don’t know where they’re going and that’s just ridiculous like why do I have to be your GOS when you have a phone and Google Maps on your phone. The drivers are very rude and slow. Unprofessional and beg for tips !!!

Great Alternative to Renting a Car
This was our first time on the island so we did not feel comfortable renting a car and driving on the opposite side of the road. This worked out great. We didn’t have any issues getting a driver and all the drivers were very friendly. I thought the pricing was reasonable
Adequate
Rides are pricey when compared to similar distances with Uber in the mainland states. Experience can differ greatly depending on your driver, some were very friendly, others not so much. The GPS tracking could really use improvement when tracking my inbound driver after booking a ride. The ETA was never right and always took longer than anticipated. And as others have mentioned, there is a glitch where payment will not go through if you fund the exact amount for the ride. I would deal with this by funding an extra dollar or two with each balance reload. At the end of the day I’m grateful there was a rideshare service for my vacation to St Croix, but next time I will book a rental car instead.

Convenient & Economical
I was nervous about driving on the left side of the road so I definitely didn’t want a rental car. Taxis seemed to create their on fares, so this service was awesome!! Great customer service at a reasonable price! I will definitely use this service again when I return!

Exceptional service
I was a little nervous about trying this at first, but I’m so glad we did. It made getting around the island incredibly easy, and we felt safe the entire time. Every driver we had was great—Andrew especially made the experience unforgettable. He welcomed us like family, shared his island vibe, and truly made our trip even better. Highly recommend!

This app will make you fund an account just to take a ride and makes everything difficult. Like why can’t I pay directly through the app . Don’t waste your time just know your taxi drivers on the island

Great app needed for all of the Caribbean
This is a great app with wonderful drivers that are pleasant and the air conditioning works well. There is a glitch where if you add the exact amount of the trip it says insufficient funds but if you add a penny more the ride goes through. The customer service is amazing to connect with if there are any issues. I wish this was available in St. John and St. Thomas!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I was excited for the new business because something like it was needed. I got the app was about to book a ride, I did the usual put in your card info and the funds transferred to my wallet on the app. I still couldn’t book it as it was saying “insufficient funds”. I’ve been inquiring about getting my money back because it took the money off my card but was not working on the app. I no longer wanted the app and needed the service but there is no way and no contact to get my money back. I do not recommend until they can better service the people. Will not be using again.

This app has a long way to go before it can compare to uber of Lyft. One of the main issues is the island of Saint Croix does not have internet service throughout the island, so that can cause route issues when the driver tries to take you to certain locations. The app took me and my driver to the wrong location. We had issues trying to get to the correct location, mainly because there was no internet service and the app didn’t recognize the address and we didn’t realize you have to move the pin, not just type the address, like uber and Lyft. The app also doesn’t necessarily understand all addresses entered, so you have to manually move the ‘pin’ to the right location. The drivers need more training on how to work the app on their end and the customer end. One of my drivers left his charger at home, so he had to use my phone when his battery life went under 7%. Lastly, I was over charged for my rides, because of the things I stated above. Additionally, I don’t see away to get the money back you’re forced to preload in the wallet to use the app. Since this app is only used on Saint Croix and I live in the States, I guess I’m just out of $113.00. This app has room for improvement.

Let’s give them time to grow
As a person who hails from San Francisco, I gave up driving 15 years ago in order to use Uber and Lyft and other rideshare services. I complained about it endlessly here saying why can’t we have the same thing here and I always got the same answer “It’s a the way it always has been. Uber. Will never come—the taxi drivers won’t allow.”
well it looks like times can change . I have yet to use the service but I plan to use it regularly. I understand that with every new business there are growing pains so I’m going to choose to ignore the couple of negative reviews and watch how this business grows. please keep in mind negative reviews can really turn a business off. Let’s give them a chance to go through their growing pains and hope that they thrive and then of course, let’s hope competition comes in and that lowers prices I’m all for it. Perhaps this island isn’t as backward as a lot of people say let’s look forward to the future.
