Don’t recommend

Didn’t help at all. I thrive on simplicity, this just gave me more things to do, which I find can create more anxiety and lack of focus.

Also, I got locked out of my account and the only way to contact customer service is via email. So if you ever have a complaint, there is no way to get a satisfactory resolution.

Lastly, beware of the auto renewal policy. The subscription does not show in your Apple subscriptions. I had to email customer service to cancel my subscription and they do not prorate the fee. I feel like the creators deliberately make the cancellation difficult and count on customers to forget to do so… and let’s face it, given their target audience, the probability of that is high!

Instant, rewarding productivity

I am generally terrible at staying motivated to complete household chores, and also am easily distracted by impulsive thoughts.

After just a few days of using Virtue Map, I've accomplished a great deal more than I probably did the entire month of December.

This app keeps you on target, if you have to take on a task while working on some other project, it's easy to just jump right back into where you were. The prioritizing schemes and tags are great, the app doesn't freeze or crash, the sync feature is flawless, and the scoring/rewards system is a nice little treat to keep up your motivation.

If I could give it six stars, I would.

Meditation on a Mobile Application

Virtue Map strongly believes in the power of human practice. It is free but not capricious. Consequently Virtue Map unambiguously rejects Gide's theory of "the arbitrary act" as it does not entail the user's responsibility. If human decisions cannot be derived from already existing precepts this does not mean that rational and universalistic consideration of normative issues is pointless.
Virtue Map could be positively described as a mobile application in which
(a) "makes human life possible", and
(b) "declares that every truth and every action implies human setting and human subjectivity".
Note: Of course, (a) should not be understood literally (no mobile application makes life possible in the sense of providing air and nutrients). But to render human life possible means for Virtue Map certainly much more than just spreading optimism or providing some sense to living, especially if you shell out the $28 bucks for the Premium Plan.

This app is amazing!

I was trying a lot of routine apps throughout a few weeks and this has been the best one! Now I am not naming any names but some of the apps make you pay to do really anything... I know that you still have to pay for this app but you can make 2 routines and you can put as many habits as you want! I also love the fact that it gives you a time estimate on how long it will take you to complete your routine and some apps don't do that... With those apps, I was late without the time estimate so I love this app so much that I deleted all of my other routine apps right then and there I have became more organized and punctual ? thank you Virtue Map thank you so much

I looked, downloaded and deleted many apps like this, they all charged a lot of money, and weren’t nearly as visually pleasing and lacked ease of use. This app has everything I need, it’s great, I use it daily, it’s helped my mind be more free and not always thinking about all the things I have to do each day, Thank you Habit!

Brought me back to myself.. and then some

After going through a very dark period, and as someone who has struggled with depression my entire life, I can honestly say Virtue Map helped bring me back to life, back to myself. I have spent decades learning self care and reparenting myself, but in the very dark times, it can still be challenging to come out the other end. In this particular instance, I truly needed my hand held and guidance back to my light. Virtue Map gave me this gift and so much more. When in a state of depression, something as simple as remembering to drink water or eat a good breakfast or move my body can feel like a mountain to climb. Virtue Map’ gentle daily reminders, along with lovely inspiring encouragement, made all of these small goals attainable again. If you’ve struggled with depression, you know the impact such small feats can have. I have been using the app for over a month now and after completing the first journey am feeling so much more energized and vibrant - I feel like my true self again. It has truly laid the foundation for me to continue living my life healthily and happily. In a word, Virtue Map has become my greatest companion or ally. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Fun & Practical

I have spent lots of money on Habit Tracking apps. I have tested all of them out. They just were not working for me. I needed practical, data, numbers, features but also did not want a boring looking interface where you just check off a box.
This app has it all plus more.
You can customize it to what you want it to look like and it still has all the practical and functional aspects of a habit tracking app that you need.

Excellent for encouragement & accountability

I’ve been looking for ways to create more accountability as I work toward creating better habits & routines (in my overall goal of living a life of intention & purpose), and the Virtue Map app is THE best one I’ve found so far. I love how it guides me step by step, day by day, to “check off” habits as I complete them, even giving recommendations on new habits that I should start, based on my goals. The ambience within the app—the soothing & uplifting colors & music, even the voice of the “coach” in the mini-coaching sessions (2-3 mins)—is especially appealing to me, as I am a very visual person/learner. There are a few other features within the app that I’ve not yet fully explored; but overall, this app has helped me more in one week than any other accountability & encouragement avenues I’ve tried so far. I look forward to continuing my “Virtue Map Journey” and highly recommend & encourage you to check it out to.

This app changed my life!!!

About a week or less ago I got this app and honestly I thought how I NEED to tell people how good it is. Like I said I got this about a week ago and it’s already drastically changed my life! I love going to the discover section of the app to get motivation and it’s helped me eat better too and lose/gain weight! Sometime I’m too skinny and hardly eat and other days I eat like a pig so now I’m always just right. Today I was challenged to eat a good breakfast and honestly it’s been a year since I had a proper breakfast so I made blueberry pancakes and had some strawberries and now I’m going to eat breakfast everyday now! I’ve also had insomnia since 4th grade and would stay up until 1 AM but now I go to bed at about 11 AM and that two whole hours of sleep back and all of that happened within a week! I’ve also started to wake up at 6 every day and workout an hour and have a to do list too! I’m also meditating every day now and I love how you can give advice to a fellow Virtue Map user and request advice after you write them a message about what they can do! I just helped a person with their laziness today and am going to get help on how to be more motivated to wake up early even on weekends,workout, and table care of myself etc. This app changed my life and I 100% recommend this app to somebody who needs to turn the tables!!! (Sorry about how long it is)

Terrible Customer Service

I was charged my yearly subscription fee despite not using the app for the whole 12 months prior (I signed up and forgot about it).
I believed I had already cancelled the subscription through apple but for some reason I was charged again. I contacted customer service the day I saw the charge and reminded them I had not used the app at all for pretty much the entirety of the previous 12 months and I would like to cancel my subscription and get a refund. They declined this request. So I’ve been charged a total of $100 for an app that I’ve never used.

Scam and predatory!

BEWARE! Tried the service over a year ago due to appealing Instagram ads. The app was nothing like the ads, they loop you in on a subscription service with no clear guidance on how to cancel on the actual app. I thought I cancelled and deleted it, only to get charged the renewal last week. I email in and am told they can only offer refunds up to 48 hours before the renewal date, but they never notify you of the upcoming renewal. Disgusting tactics! “Money back guarantee” with several caveats that I can’t even prove because I deleted my account a year ago and only logged back in this week to see why I was charged. Absolutely horrible business practices!

Seems like predatory marketing and fraud. The app is marketed toward people struggling with procrastination. After you purchase you are charged immediately. No trial period like a normal app. They also set it up as a subscription without notification. Then the app login doesn’t work. Zero help with ever being able to login. Then they say they need seven days proof via screenshots of app usage to refund you, even if you ask to cancel the same day you purchased because the app doesn’t work. They also sign you up for group chats which isn’t mentioned as a feature of the service until after you’re charged. They offered a 50% refund eventually after many emails, then 15%… Then 100% was refunded through PayPal because my claim for being owed my money back was seen as legitimate…

Be warned - sketchy business practices

I purchased the yearly subscription last year. Used the app briefly and it proved to be a waste of time. This week i noticed a pending charge for renewal. Never received a reminder email about the charge. Hmm.

Attempted to cancel the subscription, but the only way to do it is by contacting customer service via email. I received a response that they cancelled my subscription, but would not reverse the charge citing their 48 hour notice policy.

Only low quality software companies who fear high cancellation rates use tactics like making cancellation difficult and not sending renewal billing reminders.

Makes me wonder if their management team has connections with cable companies or timeshare sales. It would make sense considering their customer service practices mirror these industries.

Do not purchase this! It’s a ripoff, they have bad customer support. I tried to cancel on the day of my next charge and they refused to take off my final charge even though it was the day of. Really bad app and product. Total waste of time and money

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If I could give zero stars I would. This company is predatory and not customer-service oriented at all. Upon downloading the app and signing up for a subscription, it didn’t even work. To make matters worse, the company makes it very difficult to figure out how to cancel (it is NOT available to cancel through apple subscriptions) and then refuse to refund customers for the exorbit monthly subscription fee when the customers are unable to use the app and are unsatisfied. They claim they have a no refund policy to protect their intellectual property, which doesn’t even make sense. I plan to report this company to the BBB. STAY FAR AWAY!

I wish I read these reviews before I signed up. When I signed up the login information I received was incorrect. I contacted the company they proceeded to tell me to copy and paste as they sent it. I explained I did that in the initial email even provided a screenshot. Another rep contacted me stating the same. I asked to cancel they told me they cancelled my subscription which they didn’t and stated to finish using the services I paid for which I actually had no access to & they stated I never logged into the account. I cancelled within 3 business days as required by NYS law. I messaged their PayPal which supposedly they respond within 2 hours I never heard back. I called the number on their PayPal and it is not professional went straight to a generic voicemail which repeated the number. My next step is requesting my money directly back from
PayPal and contacting the BBB and any other review platform so others do not fall into their trap.
Save yourself the headache don’t purchase from this company they are not what they seem!!!!! This is a scam

This is a Scam, Don't sign up

I signed up for their 3-month Trial. The app had no built in notifications. And no way to cancel within the app. After the 3 months I was charged a subscription for another three months. Of course I missed this on my credit card statement because this wasn't a monthly charge, but every 3 months. It's been a year and I've been charged about $159 for a plan that I never used, stopped receiving email notifications for, and was never notified about being enrolled into the subscription.
They hurry their cancelation procedure on their website and require you to write an email to them. Avoid falling victim to this scam. I've reported them to the FTC.
