What's New in Vitals Flow

Pro now reaches your watch and your iCloud sync If you unlocked Pro through the suite bundle — or bought it in Finora or Pool & Home Care — Vitals Flow knew you were Pro on screen but never told the rest of the system. Two things followed from that one gap: weighing in from your watch said it was a Pro feature, and iCloud sync stayed off, so nothing on your watch ever reached your phone. After updating, open Vitals Flow on your iPhone once, then open the watch app again. Weigh-ins recorded on the watch while sync was off were saved only on the watch and will need re-entering. Your watch and your sync now speak up. If iCloud Sync is off, the watch says it's saving to itself only, and says what to do about it. When syncing fails, Settings shows what iCloud reported instead of leaving you to work out why a device's data never arrived. The date range buttons are back 7D · 30D · 90D · 1Y · All had been showing as an empty grey strip, so there was no way to change how far back a chart looked. If you've been unable to see older readings, this is why. "All" now also says what it covers: readings your devices record automatically go back a year, while your own entries go back as far as you have them. Tapping a reading takes you somewhere it exists. A card showing your latest weight or body fat opened a screen fixed to the last 30 days — so if that reading was older, you landed on "Nothing in this range" for the very value you just tapped. Apple Health, handled properly Correcting a reading now updates Apple Health too. Editing used to leave the old value behind, so the two disagreed and the old number could come back. Deleting a reading removes it from both, so it stays gone. Readings that came from Apple Health no longer offer a Delete button that couldn't work — the screen points you at the Health app, where the record lives. And logging a reading with Health writing enabled no longer creates a duplicate on the next launch. Syncing is quicker and stays current on its own: Vitals Flow reads only what changed since the last sync instead of re-reading your history, and keeps up in the background, so your widget and complication stay current without opening the app. Readings you delete in Apple Health disappear here too. Vitals Flow opens much faster On a phone with a long history — especially with Apple Health import switched on — the app could sit on its launch screen for fifteen seconds or more, then feel sluggish for a while afterwards. It now gets you to your dashboard promptly and stays responsive, however many readings you have. Also in this release The widget and watch complication keep up when you delete a reading, restore a backup or erase all your data. Dates that aren't from this year say so, in your symptom journal and on the watch.
