I am DONE with Vively

I have subscribed for 12 months but in the few short months I have been using Vively I have discovered that the food logging database is the worst I have ever used and I have used a lot believe me. Suggest you benchmark against MyFitnessPal and MyNetDiary for ease and accuracy. As for help desk. I have had 2 requests completely ignored. A third one handled poorly by AI and then escalated to real people who were really great. The logging of a helpdesk is really cumbersome in the same way as logging food is. This app takes up too much of your time. It’s a shame because the outputs of the app are quite good. Awaiting a response from a 4th help desk - no blood glucose data showing despite SIBIONICS being up to date to the minute

Rip off

Still waiting for results, I paid the sign up fee $99 and cancelled same day to avoid renewal, not even 3 weeks later I got charged again meaning they keep your bank details
They said no refund even if you cancelled prior renewal date so I guess I need a new credit card now

BEWARE! Extremely difficult to opt out of and they commence billing from the date you sign up.

I signed up for a special offer in 2025. Beware - there are two Auto-renew fees that you are slugged with (one for $39 and the other for $99).

They commence billing from the moment you sign up, which is WELL BEFORE you receive your initial CGM (continuous glucose monitor) - which does not make sense to me - so by the time I received my CGM, I had already been charged $140.

I believe I spoke to a nutritionist twice. Honestly, I think you are better to do the same thing through your GP.

Also, I cancelled via a link in an email and this did not get registered with Vively - and so they kept billing me. It took me a little while to register that I was still being charged and then I had to email them and there was no way “to prove” I had clicked the link, so no refund for me. :(

Hard pass.

I highly recommend

While the app can use some cosmetic improvements, and it has the occasional glitch … I love how it all comes together, access to Dietrician, glucose review and how it impacts what you eat. It nicely syncs with Apple health. So yeah, for me will likely keep using it.

Horrible UI. Poor database of foods

Adding foods or meals is very frustrating, with values constantly resetting and limited ability to edit. Presentation of the end result, if you have the patience to get this far, is confusing and not at all intuitive. So far, I have found several foods (barcodes) not in the database even though they are in more mature products like MyFitness. Adding to the database gets the nutrition values wrong and (surprise surprise) no way to correct them. There is no food integration with other apps, or not that I’ve found, so I have to enter everything twice.
I was practicing logging foods prior to starting to use the CGM, but I’m now seriously considering just returning it. Why would I use the CGM if logging foods is so troublesome?

New update has rendered the app unable to log meals

Please fix it.

Towards optimal health

Very simple: I have never found a better holistic and scientific health app tracking and helping you to thrive on metabolic health, nutrition, sleep, exercise and resilience. This app should be covered by Medicare . Just one month and potential savings for Medicare, PBS and health systems in Australia would be significant with high returns on investment for Australia and Australians. Someone has to do the maths! Thank you and Bravo to the Vively team 👏

Doesn’t work!

Biggest waste of time. This app never worked as advertised. Super buggy, required hours of support and troubleshooting. Then they never offered to refund. 0-stars for me.

App didn’t work with CGM

The app never sync’s with my CGM. Support tried a bunch of things and asked me to try a bunch too. None worked. I cancelled my subscription and asked for a refund. They said no and hid behind their terms of service and sent me a canned response. I do know one person the app worked for but thought others would want to know my personal experience. Buyer beware.

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're really sorry the app didn't work as expected with your CGM and that our support efforts didn’t lead to a resolution. We understand how disappointing that is, especially when you've put in the effort to troubleshoot. Your feedback has been shared with our team so we can improve both the product and how we support our members.

Outrageous waste of money

This subscription is dreadful value for money. I’d misunderstood and thought that, with a monthly subscription, I’d get quarterly CGMs - this was my mistake. Realising that I’ve been paying so much per month for generic articles and a worse version of MyFitnessPal has made me very angry. It’s particularly offensive that, when cancelling, I’m offered a more than 50% discount to stay - plainly the membership structure is pure price gouging

Good Insights, But Limited Without Glucose Monitor

I signed up for the Vively app but it wasn’t clear that the glucose monitor only lasts two weeks and that you have to pay separately for each new one. Food logging isn’t great — barcode scanning doesn’t work, the AI log needs lots of editing, and the database search is too rigid. You have to get food names exactly right to find anything. It also doesn’t help if you’re tracking calories or trying to stay in a deficit, and syncing with Fitbit is incomplete, so you might end up logging twice. That said, I learned a lot about my eating habits, and seeing real-time glucose data was helpful. Without the glucose monitor though, the app doesn’t offer much value.

Save ur money

The Vively app has multiple issues impacting its use. It rarely states point in time mmol/L reading meaning you have to refer back to the libre app for this data.
Also scanning barcodes rarely works due to the very limited data in the food log.
I would recommend buying the sensor independently and using another source to interrupt the data.

70% there

Has good potential but bugs are just not getting fixed. Takes ages to update blood glucose from the Freestyle Libre, like 2 hours, doesn’t correctly pull sleep and exercise from the Health app and there’s no way to edit. If these were fixed it would make a massive difference!

Rubbish app & service

Don’t waste your time & money. The customer service is horrendous!

Unable to sign up, but the app has no problem charging me

Downloaded for app use only as I have my own glucose monitor. The app charged me just fine and then jumped to “session expired please log in again”. I can’t log in, because I haven’t finished the sign up process, but I can’t finish the sign up process bc the app session is always expired and I’ve already purchased the monthly subscription 💀

Expensive, clunky, doesn’t deliver

Expensive, clunky, requires so much data input and doesn’t deliver. Save your $ log your own data and get help from AI to collate findings.

Never get reply by contact team

They won’t reply any email When you get troubled and if you Told him you want to get refund to work, cancel your membership they won’t give you any help.

Out of business??

4 weeks ago my wife and I ordered the App and sensors and paid $39 for the first month subscription of the App. 4 weeks later NO sensors!!! Numerous attempts to contact support have been futile with only a stupid AI responding and telling us only what we want to hear! We have now been forced to cancel the monthly subscription and effect a CHARGEBACK on each of the $39! BEWARE, seems this App is out of business!!

A cheap ZOE and awful customer service

They've tried but I have found the app execution bulky, difficult to use and not overly user friendly. I paid for a 3 month membership and was left disappointed with the lack of support and understanding from it. I am an avid ZOE listener and I feel this app is a very cheap version of what you actually get with ZOE. Unfortunately in NZ ZOE isn't available. Vively is not cheap by any means and is not worth the money. I also totally forgot to not renew my membership and I have tried numerous times to contact them and they have failed to respond each time. Bitterly disappointed. With lots of friends and family who are looking for ways to reduce Blood sugar glucose levels through diet I would never reccomend Vively
