Not good for free users

I got the app and it was ok for a bit but all I simply wanted to do is change a background I changed it to one since I thought it looked interesting but when I wanted to change it back to the original it locked it behind a pay wall even though I could use it 5 seconds ago all. Also majority of this apps features are blocked behind a pay wall so all you can do is get random words daily and unless you bookmark or favourite them they’re gone forever and you can never see them again on the app, and a widget. Unless you are willing to pay money to learn a bunch of words that in my opinion won’t help you or teach you that well given that I’m guessing people learn words through repetition or if they come across it in a book or passage if you just give a random word and definition to it I doubt anyone is going to remember it and all the words are basically useless in everyday life so unless your job requires you to have a large vocabulary of words that no one uses or says it’s not helpful, that is if you even use the app that much to begin with, it is not worth it at all.

Charged after 3 days - Subscription Trap

I trialed this app on 9 September 2026 and was charged an annual subscription of $49.99 on 12 September 2026. I received no notification from the app or even Apple. I was also under the impression the free trial period was a week. Pretty sure I cancelled my subscription during the free trial so that I wouldn’t be trapped but somehow I’ve been charged.

Typical, draws you in, gets all your details, wastes your time, no suggestion that it will cost you.

No suggestion it’ll cost, you go through entering all your details, designed to trap people into paying because you’ve done all the ground work before it tells you it costs money.

billing problem

i installed this app because i came across is on tiktok. i was completely unaware that it requires you to pay for it. now i’m dealt with a $60 pending charge for premium. i tried cancelling it but it doesn’t work.

Billed before 7 day free trial was over. Easy “Advanced setting”

I was billed for the yearly subscription before I cancelled the 7 day free trial. Plus the advanced setting was filled with easy words. Like it was made for the illiterate or Americans.

Beware

Charged my credit card even though I cancelled before the free 3 day trial was up

Great to build a Strong Vocabulary!

Very useful and can be a decent little replacement for doomscrolling all day🤷🏾.

Love it! Small Glitch!

Do love this as I grave been tweaking it and learning how to add my own words I do love that feature, But I love the pronunciation feature and it has started randomly deciding that my volume is turned off. Even though it’s not. It went away the first time it happened, but now it’s persisting . I rebooted the phone and installed the newest update and it’s still doing it. Thank you.

Naah

I cannot stand apps that take you through an entire setup and then at the very end say “oh by the way, it’s only 60 bucks a year” Here’s a vocab word for you: unscrupulous.

Great🕷️

I have been able to expand my word knowledge

Is charging me even after my subscription is inactive

Even though my subscription is inactive after my free trial. They are still trying to wrongfully charge me $64.94.

Scam don’t download!

I got charged unexpectedly!

Good base, but room for improvement

Inconsistency between widgets on home and lock screen. Settings need to be consistent for both, with the same options and choice for the same word.
Need to stick to word perameters

Love / Hate

I really love words and vocabulary. I was so excited when I first saw this app I purchased it right away. But there are so many words and so many notifications it’s too much. I was even in Colorado for the Summer and a friend. I was sitting at the table with kept checking her watch and we thought that something was going on with one of her kids and she said “oh it’s just this annoying vocabulary app”. I find it very difficult to mute. In fact I haven’t been able to do it. I would be happy with a reminder every day and two or three words a week total… Great idea, but the execution seems overwhelming.

Pushes made up words

Deleted it after 2 days as it was providing words which are made up. Eg ‘nodus tollens’ and ‘adronitis’. It clearly draws from the internet indiscriminately. If it’s not giving you actual words then it defeats the point of expanding your vocabulary

So amazing!!

So amazing I’ve only had it for a few days but you can use it completely free it has a subscription that is not required and you can do basically anything without the subscription.

Subscription

Why do i need a subscription to learn new WORDS. Be so for real, it’s an app for me to learn a new word everyday, what maintenance are you doing on the app that costs consumers 40 dollars a year?

It’s a good app!

It’s a pretty good app for daily vocab but I will say nothing really special! 🙂

I loveee this

So I like cannot spell and read right idk why but this app is perfect for people like me I love this (give a raise to the person who made this)

Fun but be careful

I was having fun with this app until I stumbled upon a word I knew with an incorrect description. There is also
no way to signal it. I’m not going to use the app anymore if I can’t trust what I am learning.
