After 2 years it gets better and better. As an author this is a great tool for notes and easy transfer to emails and text messages! Translations too! Get it now! You are missing out! I’m a PhD and use this everyday for notes, texts, and emails.
Stop asking me to give a review every time I try to dictate
The product is ok at best, but I am still trying to learn it. Maybe if it didn’t ask me to review it every 10 seconds, I could work in the app long enough to give a positive review.

Gave it plenty of time, and unfortunately too late to cancel the yearly charge.
It’s not terribly responsive. It’s not even as responsive as the built-in mic in the iPhone. Substitutes wrong words, regardless of proximity to the phone. I’m sure there are better ones out there.

Don’t buy if you use G mail
I go into the directions online and discover that it doesn’t function with Gmail. It suggest using some Apple app. Don’t waste your time with this app.

It Works!
I love using this app in the early morning hours to rough draft stories for my book. It is easy to upload the draft and move into editing. It captures the flow of the voice and does well with periods and commas. I’m happy with it.

My children used this app in our homeschool for the last 2 years until it displayed pornographic ads to them. Deleted immediately and 1 star.

I have been using Dictate for a couple years. Each update makes it worse and worse. It now stops recording in the middle of talking and in order to keep recording you have to shut the app down and reopen it. If you have to correct an error (which doesn’t bother me it makes errors) it will mess up your formatting and when you start talking again, you it puts an uppercase letter wether needed or not. I have attempted to submit written concerns to the contact support button, but the email will never send. I am sadly disappointed and will be considering a different app. I need an app that will actually work as I use the dictation app almost every single day in my work.

The app frequently doesn’t understand what’s being said and so puts wrong words into the text. Also there should be a way to copy a section of the text without it only offering “copy all” as the only option.
Misses words
Not good. Misses words completely then jumbles them up.
Speech accuracy
The speech recognition of this technology or this app is fair to poor. I probably will not renew it when my year is up.

It misses one out of 5 words. Even in English!

Works like it’s supposed to. Great export options. Quick, fast, and pretty accurate. I use it to transcribe audio files to make my outlines and take notes. What a time saver. Thank you Christian!

Voordien werkte dit goed om spraak om te zetten naar tekst maar nu worden hier en daar maar enkele woorden omgezet in tekst. Dus niet bruikbaar.
