Useless

Had storm and tornado warnings. No alerts. Flooding. No alerts. What a useless app!!!

Would line to delete notifications once they are read

How does a person delete notifications once they are read.

No account, no notifications

I registered in the app, went in to the app to see the status of a no water advisory and it showed no notification and didn’t recognize my account.

App incredibly unreliable

I volunteer with SAR and have seen firsthand how unreliable this app is, both personally and from complaints from citizens when we’ve gone door to door delivering evacuation orders and many people who have the app got no notification. The app is worse than useless because it gives people a false sense of security.

Weak at best

Doesn’t update forest fire issues.

It doesn’t work

App failed to send notifications

Critical Alert Spooked Our Cats

Test alert was so loud and disruptive that it startled not just us but our pets too. Had to disable critical alerts, which kind of defeats the purpose but oh well.

Alarm doesn’t sound if on silent or DND

I didn’t get an alarm during the test just now (my colleague did)- l promptly checked my settings and I have the app to bypass all my silence or do not disturb settings - yet no alarm. Looks like another bug or user error but can’t figure out what’s wrong.

Poor Execution of Good Concept

Functions like there was no time for user testing and Regional District training. UX is absolutely dismal. This works like an app from a decade ago. Biggest weakness - no ability to delete alerts. I signed up for emergency alerts. My screen shows Active(7) but only 3 visible one of which is a notice for a past zoning meeting. C’mon, you can do better. There is a serious wildfire situation around me and someone can’t remember to keep the alerts up to date. I’ve edited my info preferences but if users could delete alerts we wouldn’t need to rely on a Regional District employee to do their job! At the very least the screen should be clean of useless information.

Crucial but needs integration and work. Love it

I’ve been using this for Osoyoos fire. So far it gave me alerts to my iphone and also my watch. I’ve added all contacts and locations. Just got a notification for my sister’s house which was accurate and clear. This has fantastic potential if it’s dependable and has more features. It’s highly frustrating to have to use multiple apps and sites for updates. Drive BC is another that could be linked to this app. They don’t have an app. Which is ridiculous.
So far the sites we use are;
BC Wildfires- slow to update
Emergency Operations Centre website, no app - used for map of alert and Evac perimeters etc
Windy- for wind direction and weather
Drive BC website, no app for escape routes and road closures
X- the old Twitter, but it’s cumbersome to see the most recent citizen updates and you must have an account, and it has a limit on number of views per day
If all could be combined it would be good.

Doesn’t work

I have had my sons phone get alerts from the bc wildfire system tans nothing on my phone nor this app.

Free or not

I downloaded o. My iPad no problem wit when trying to download to my iPhone it wants a credit card. I don’t want to buy but if it’s free I will love to use it So is it free or not

Unable to receive notifications

I haven’t received notification from this app in over a year. Whenever I open the app, it tells me to visit my notification settings. But when I press, “Go To Settings” there is no notification toggle in the Voyent Alert settings. I’ve checked the general Notifications settings, but there’s no option for Voyent Alert.

When the app works, it works fine for where I live. But without notifications, it’s kinda useless.

Ok but not fully accessible using Screen reader

The app looks good and seem to function properly however not able to use with VoiceOver IOS. Does not recognize back button or menu button. Please fix.

Doesn’t work

The city I live in worked with this App for emergency alerts. They sent out flyers and download instructions to install the app. Only problem is it doesn’t even recognize Canadian addresses or postal codes. Total garbage.

no way to subscribe to multiple service providers

Despite being promised for months there is still no way to subscribe to multiple providers in a single geographic location.

Multiple locations not allowed

Ridiculous. I can’t get notifications from work and home. Only one.

Unable to subscribe to multiple areas

The location I live uses this app, one is the town I live in, the other is the regional district that covers a large area.

When signing up the app recognizes that 2 providers use this app, and it states that you can sign up for multiple locations. However, after selecting my town I cannot find any way to add the regional district to the app.

As a result I’ve had to register my phone number on their website to receive texts and call (for critical alerts only).

PLEASE update this app to allow you to add multiple areas when signing up.

Dumb App

The app doesn’t work, the city got this to give notices did not get the test, did not receive any notices unless I open the App, waste of time and the city’s money to support this program, would not recommend and am addressing this to the city to cancel it, have reloaded and updated my notifications still doesn’t work properly, this has the potential of being dangerous especially in todays society where we rely on accurate timely information that is accurate

What’s up?

Got an alert and went to app to see what it was about and it won’t even open. What good is that?
