It almost never works
I’m all for security, but this goes a step to far. A lot of times we can’t make a transaction because of all the steps needed. Never have that problem with American Cards in Europe. But this card always gives me a headache. I’m so over it!

Still unusable ― the “invisible app window” bug has not been fixed
Update to my bug report submitted on May 5, 2025: app version 4.1.1 still didn’t fix the “invisible app window“ bug. When the app is started ― either manually or by the online banking app ― only the phone’s wallpaper and app icons are visible; there is no app window displayed, or it is completely translucent. The app is active and is displayed in the overview of running apps, but bringing it to the foreground will only display the background wallpaper and app icons again. Any attempt to bring the app to the foreground more that twice will result in the app crashing. In its current state, the SecureGo Plus app is unusable, I have to resort to using a TAN generator for authorization of transactions. iPhone 14 Pro Max; iOS 17.7.2; SecureGo Plus 4.1.1

Online Zahlungen brechen immer ab
Ich kann meine Karte nicht für online Zahlungen nutzen. Ich konnte die Karte noch nicht einmal in irgendeiner online Anwendung erfolgreich benutzen. Entweder gibt mir die App einen Auftrag, den ich annehme, aber der Zahlungsvorgang bricht trotzdem ab, oder ich bekomme nicht einmal einen Auftrag. Die Daten tippe ich entweder manuell direkt von der Karte ein oder scanne die Karte ein. Auf jeglichen Anwendungen bekomme ich höchstens nur eine Fehlermeldung die mir sagt die Zahlung ist abgebrochen und ich solle es noch einmal versuchen oder mich an die Bank wenden. Ich habe mich bereits an die Bank gewendet, aber mir wurde nur gesagt, dass es sich hierbei um einen technischen Fehler handelt da meine Karte bereits für den online Handel freigegeben ist und korrekt mit der App verknüpft ist. Ich benutze die App Version 4.1.1 auf einem iPhone 16 mit der iOS Version 18.5. Beides ist meines Wissens nach, zum heutigen Datum auf dem neuesten Stand.

App works well, once set up … but
The app is simple enough - it´s a tycial 2FA app. the setup however - with the need to request a setup key, autorisation key etc is so complicated . Product manager should look at US Banking apps - how they do it , simple and secure … user mobil phone # , email, debit card info ( last 4 of SS) … enough !!!!

Gerätewechsel blockiert mit fehlender Abwärts-Kompatibilität
iPhone SE (2016) verbleiben in IOS 15.8.3 und damit in der App-Version 3.6.3. In dieser Kombination endet Support und Funktion nach Ankündigung sehr bald. App stellt einen Gerätewechsel bereit, welcher zuerst vorbereitet werden muss. Weder der anschließende QR-Code noch der Übertragungs-Code kann von einem aktuellen iPhone mit IOS 18.n mit neueste App Version eingelesen werden. Der gescannte QR code wird abgewiesen mit dem Hinweis, die App Versionen seien unterschiedlich und die App möge doch vorher aktualisiert werden. (Was natürlich nicht möglich ist). Auch kann unter IOS 18.n keine App-Version 3.6.3 installiert werden, man bekommt halt immer die Neuste. Dann eben bei der Bank melden und neue Zugangsdaten per Post anfordern. Sehr schade, dass die Entwickler solche Optionen (Gerätewechsel) nicht kompatibel zu älteren Versionen implementieren.

Unmöglich einen Aktivierungscode anzufordern
Beim ersten Schritt um einen Aktivierungscode anzufordern erscheint die Meldung „Bestätigung von allen Feldern erforderlich“, leider gibt es nichts zu bestätigen und auch das öffnen und schließen der pdf Dateien führt dazu dass die Seite neu geladen wird und die selbe Meldung erscheint.
Edit: das Problem lag daran dass bei meinem Handy sämtliche Cookies und ähnliche Daten blockiert wurden. Nachdem ich die Funktion ausgeschaltet habe konnte ich die Felder sehen. Der Fehler lag bei meiner IT deshalb 5 Sterne sorry und danke.

The worst app for banking
I travel for work and unluckily I had to open a vr account with this app that is terrible, every 2 months is disconnected from vr go plus and I have no other option than request ANOTHER activation code by post that take 10-14 days..so every 2-3 months my bank account is blocked for 2 weeks. The worst online bank experience
