An app that really helps

I like that this app is a guide towards my desired behavior not a hard block. I can still unlock it if I have to, but there is enough resistance that I don’t do it willy nilly. Great app.

Just What I Needed

I’ve been pretty sedentary lately and doom scrolling on my phone, a lot more than I’d like to admit. To the point where I’ve been slowly developing a shopping addiction. I’ve been struggling to stay off of shopping apps. This app helps me lock my shopping apps keeping me off of them for most of the day and re-locking them at midnight. This motivates me to get some steps in to unlock the apps. Funny enough because I’m feeling so good about getting my steps in my desire to shop isn’t as intense. This app has been a huge help to me and I’m glad I got it.

Great concept at a cost

I’m really disappointed this costs money. I was so excited and was looking forward to setting up this app for my weight loss journey but the second i saw it costs money i deleted it. Sad.

Just what I needed

Life happened last year and I went from moderately active to bump-on-a-log, and once I lost the momentum it has been a slog trying to get back to it. I’ve tried everything: gamifying, incentivizing, withholding, competition (non-monetary), gold stars… The problem with all of these forms is it was based on self-control.

Literally just yesterday I was searching for another gamifying app to motivate me, but I’d either tried them all or they didn’t look interesting. Today I saw this mentioned on Reddit and boom! Day 1 and I’ve already hit my goal and then some. It takes my fledgling self-control out of the equation and forces a choice - to get up and move or sit with an expensive brick in my hand. Instead of feeling defeated because I gave in AGAIN while I loaf, I’m feeling energized and in control.

The UI is clean. The instructions were clear. Integration with Apple Health is quick. If I could squeak in a future enhancement ask, it would be to allow other tech to naturally integrate, but I’m savvy enough with the workarounds I’ve got to do (I’m actually a Garmin user).

I am so impressed. Brilliant idea, team!

I don’t know how I could live without this!

This has been the best thing to ever come into my life. The ui is clean and crisp and so easy to look at, the features do exactly what they should and now I finally am able to make a serious change for the better. With other apps I would bypass the blocking or just eventually delete the apps and still be on the couch on Facebook with nothing better to do. This actually motivates me to do better, get healthier and calm my mind to not be so ingrained into social media. It’s like a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much for making this!!

Amazing for walking motivation and screen time discipline

This is a genius concept. I am walking more and spending less time mindlessly watching videos and scrolling social media. It is the only walking app that has truly motivated me. I can feel my mental health healing day by day! This app looks great and is easy to use everyday. I think everyone would benefit from downloading this app.

Good app idea, but it costs money.

I understand why it costs money, but it makes it very inaccessible for people with little money or no way to make any. Really good app idea and I would love to try it, but I do not have the money for it.

Great app to stay accountable

I don’t really write reviews but I really like this app idea and the overall concept behind it. Different from other blockers as it actually has some motivation aspect to it. The only issue is I have to open the app to unlock my apps but I guess that’s fine.

It actually works, but sometimes the widgets and step counts are delayed, but opening the app fixes that. I don’t mind paying since it adds some accountability. Not bad. Would be nice to see my screen time in the app though.

Overall, this is a very thoughtful and useful app. I’ve actually been walking more and holding myself accountable for using my time wisely.

Clever concept, actually changes behavior

WalkBlock flips the usual screen time approach — instead of just blocking apps, it makes you earn them with steps. Set your goal, walk, then your apps unlock. I've been using it for a few days and it genuinely works as a nudge. The setup is quick and the step tracking feels accurate. Good one for anyone who wants to cut mindless scrolling without going cold turkey.

Finally stopped my morning doomscroll

I used to lay in bed scrolling Instagram for like an hour before getting up. Set WalkBlock to block social apps until 5k steps and now I actually get out of bed and walk first. The step goal unlocking apps thing is simple but it works. Been on a 2 week streak.

Really cool app idea

Don’t want to completely delete social apps but it’s nice to be able to set limits that for help me get active. Could be cool to add additional features like minimum amount of sleep as well.

I really like this app and it has been helping me tremendously! The only thing I would change is to be able to see how many steps I did each day when I go through the stats days later and click on a random day. It’d be nice to keep track. I paid the one time fee and really enjoy this app as I’ve been trying to reduce my time on social media and focus on my health. Lost 5 lbs this week! Yay!

Perfect for 2026 new year

I have the tendency to wake up in the morning and lay in bed for 2 hours scrolling on social media. This app has motivated me in making me get up first in the morning to get my steps in to unlock my social media. I’d say it great for anyone looking to change their habits.
