Very disappointing experience. I paid to use the washing machine, but after taking the payment the machine displayed an error and did not start. I then had to wait around 20 minutes for the app to reset before I could try again.
The same thing happened with the dryer afterwards. In total, I spent almost an hour trying to get the machines to work and lost £3.50 because of failed transactions.
I contacted customer support, but I did not receive a clear explanation or a proper solution. For something as basic as washing and drying clothes, the whole process should be simple and reliable.

Horrible system
Washer just spun my clothes for 12 minutes even though I selected cold wash. No water. Just spinning. My clothes? Still dirty. Won’t let you change it on the machine. It did this to me TWICE because I thought it was maybe a mistake the first time, only to find out that at least 3 of my classmates had the same exact thing happen to them. Stole £8 from me for nothing.

randomly shut down
every machine went down on the app, called customer service and they just tell you to wait and that they can’t help or compensate for “connectivity issues”. genuinely one of the greediest and scummiest washing companies to exist

Chronic Downtime, Avoid This Service
I have repeatedly experienced problems with this service. Several times, their machines have stopped running mid-cycle, and their app is consistently unreliable, offering little to no useful information.
Customer support has also been unhelpful, failing to provide timely solutions or clear guidance when issues arise. Based on my experience, I cannot trust this service to operate reliably, and I would strongly caution anyone from making plans around their laundrettes.
Until they address these recurring problems and improve both their machines and customer support, I cannot recommend this service.

Terrible Terms
This app is awful. Slow and unorganised. The amount of times I’ve had issues with the app is ridiculous, and you can’t get your money back when THEIR machines don’t work properly. This is certainly one way not to do laundry simply. Making this a go to for student campuses as well is dumb, as there is no alternative

Avoid
So many times it shows an error when i try to start the washing machine. Tried to complain via whatsapp, but no one got back to me and the chat was eventually closed due to inactivity. Avoid at all cost.
Incredibly buggy, not reliable and should stay away.
Universities and businesses should stay away from using this app and any associated services for their laundry programme. Unreliable and will cause a hassle.
Horrible service
The app is always bugged the washing machines have no alternative but to be used through the app so when the app malfunctions you have no choice, there is also not an option to deal with people who set up a payment and never go through with it essentially leaving the machine unusable until they cancel their payment which can take hours

Barely works
Barely ever works. When it does they are all reserved. Expensive and a joke

App is easy to use and you can track the times each machines are available to use

The app works, but could definitely be more user friendly. For example : if you have played for a washer / dryer, shouldn’t it then pin to the top of the list or be highlighted that it’s yours??? Also just super slow during the actual process of paying and stuff. But really should have a ‘active’ tab or something like that so the ones you are currently using can be found easily

abysmal service that wasted 3 hours of my life over their own mistakes
i forgave the terrible user interface a long time ago. the hassle it took to reload the page was meaningless, so long as i got my clothes washed. but for some reason, this company (not only the app, washstation in general) REFUSES to take payments. i tried to pay for a dryer for THREE HOURS!! when i texted customer service asking help, they were so dismissive!! kept telling me “it’s the bank” when my bank was clearly telling me the issue was an incongruence with washnet’s billing address!! the card info (both typed & through apple pay) went through fine, was accepted by my bank, but washnet sent back wrong confirmation info basically (from what i understand of the call). my billing address? perfect. my card information? meticulous. my clothes? Soggy. washnet proceeds to kick me in the face and tell me “we’re busy.” over me just trying to pay them £0.50. this service is a joke. do better.

Forced to use this at my uni accommodation. App doesn’t work 75% of the time and the other 25% of the time it tries to keep a laundry monopoly

Rang with queries regarding my wash. Answered quickly and lucy was so helpful and accommodating especially as I was a new user. A truly great service!!

Can’t use ur credit at any station
I went onto the app and selected the station that’s closest to me but they had my location but it selected a completely different one and so when I put my money in and they decided that I can’t use it at the one I’m currently outside and so I had to pay double for the same service there’s not refundable so I’m just going out to find itbut yeah, the service is really good. The Apple always says I need to update it. It’s a yeah this is not good at all and no matter what you do the price is gonna be £2.90 for it but at least I’m not one which doesn’t really make sense like the lesson in intensive want to be cheaper but they are apparently so yeah.

Terrible service
I had money left in my Washnet wallet, but due to a small price change I was just 10p short to complete my final wash. Unfortunately, the system only allows a minimum top-up of £5, and support was unable to help add the small difference. Because of this, I couldn’t use the service properly. Very disappointing experience, and I will not be able to recommend Washnet to others.

The machines break down every 2 seconds. If your accom have these machines good luck and maybe find a launderette nearby 💀💀
Easy to use and efficient
This app is really simple to use and fuss free. In the case you’re low on money on the app but already loaded a machine, it’s really quick to top up money and pay then and there.
