It’s ok
Wish it would link with Strava as even through third party apps because it splits between walk/run it cannot be recorded as a solo effort instead it’s about 10 chunks !
Would also like notification reminders on along the lines of “ don’t forget your run tomorrow or today is a day off “
Love this App!
Now on to training for 10k runs! Thank you for giving me the gift of running!
Decent app
The good: it gives a HR and connects with Apple Health, as advertised. The old app I was using didn’t do either and the workarounds were really clunky. And, after the workout, you can look up the data for each interval (both running and walking).
The room for improvement: because I’m used to working out with realtime data (I’m just getting back to running after a hiatus), I find that there’s just not enough useful realtime data. The watch displays HR, calories, distance and average pace (which includes the walking intervals). The average pace isn’t a useful metric. I’d like to see current pace instead.
On other possible things to improve is a bit of flexibility in the workout once it gets started. The old app would let me rewind and repeat intervals. I often used to do that in order to extend a workout that had felt too easy. I can’t find a way to do that with this app. I know that’s not the official plan, but sometimes life interrupts plans.
Great coaching!
Today was Run 1 of Week 8.
Going from running about 1 minute and a 1/10th of a mile to 28 minutes and 2.01 miles is real success if you ask me!
Thanks for the app Ben!
Love this app
Great app
Love the app
Great app, easy interface, lots of data
I start Pandora in the background, start Watch to 5k and away I go.
I look forward to the different runs and reviewing the data once I get back in cool down. Seeing the different splits for the different intervals is very nice. It’s interesting to see how running segments of the same time produce shorter or longer distances and higher or lower heart rates based on going uphill or going downhill!
Functionality is frustrating
No voice via airpods
Great!
TOP !
It’s ok but not smart enough
Not the apps fault but couch to 5k is designed by a marketer. Not a fitness expert. The jump from 8 minute intervals to 20 full minutes is just insane. It’s a poor programme for beginners.
The motivation you need!
The app gently increases the amount of running you will do each week so you're not overwhelmed and you can always repeat runs (or entire weeks) if you don't quite feel ready for the next step. Goals are celebrated regularly for encouragement.
Even my spouse, who swore they'd never be a runner, has started using it and they're making great progress. Bottom line, the app is simple but it really works!
This is a great app!!
Poor
Fantastic App for Beginners
Works well but wish it included warm up/cool down in map
Works well on the watch, but doesn’t show information needed during a run.
Nice app
The app is simple. It starts very slow so that even when you have almost no stamina at all you have the chance of getting in
