A great tool for tracking your progress
I’ve used this app for years now and have watched it grow every year in functionality. Unlike most applications that add features the use of this app has actually become easier and more intuitive with time. If you do water sports it will track your progress and provide statistics on how you’re doing. I’ve logged over 8 thousand miles over the years kiting surfing, kite foiling, EFoiling and SUP. Don’t tell the developers but since there is an other category you could use it for off the water like biking or hiking. It’s fun to share your recent travels graphically with your friends. I totally recommend this app.

Eight thousand miles is a lot of water. Thank you for sticking with us all these years and for noticing that the app got easier to use. We won't tell anyone about the biking. The Waterspeed team
Waterspeed is BROKEN
I can no longer use Waterspeed because it’s stuck in a never ending cloud sync loop. That would be ok if I could get support from the developers…. Humans! Unfortunately the support chat now only connects you to an AI bot now, which is COMPLETELY USELESS! I can not get support for my issue. Do not buy this app, it’s BROKEN :(

Best for metrics but low performance
Waterspeed is really good for foiling stats, probably the best and has a comprehensive list of sports. But in the last year the reliability has been getting worse and worse. I am constantly wrestling with it, constant failed syncs and today it even somehow merged 2 different sessions in 2 different disciplines into one session. Sometimes when I use my scroll crown it just exits the menu. It's eating up my time, ruining sessions and causing more irritation than it's worth. Sucks when you're a paying customer.

Purely a tracking app
Caution - Tidal locations not accurate. unable to select tidal stations. It uses nearest geographical location. Useless for planning.

Going downhill
A few weeks ago, the map feature in the web app broke, just recently my sessions from my watch have to be manually sync’d to my phone (eventually appearing) and none of my sessions this week have sync’d to Strava. Quality just seems to be going downhill rapidly

Thanks for letting us know, and sorry it was a rough few weeks. Watch sessions that needed a manual sync are fixed in the latest version, so please update. If Strava still isn't getting your sessions, write to support@waterspeedapp.com and we'll check the connection on your account. The Waterspeed team
