Best mental health app for college students I’ve ever used
It uses evidence-based practices like CBT and is developed by clinical psychologists from schools like Stanford, so I trust it.
But it’s not bland or generic. I can tell it what I want or need, and it actually responds in a way that’s personalized to me and my campus.
It’s given me hope, improved my mood, made me feel more in control of my life, and - oddly - more connected, because it’s opened my eyes to (not scary) resources on campus that I’m actually interested in. I know it sounds weird, but I feel like it actually cares about me and my well-being.
It’s also nice because I used up all my counseling sessions this year, but I can still get support with this. And I can talk to it and get help with my problems at 2 am when I can’t sleep, which I obviously couldn’t do with a counselor!
Seriously, I was skeptical, but take it from cynical me. Give it a chance - what do you have to lose by having one short conversation?? - and see how it can help you feel better and get unstuck.
