Furchtbar schlecht - unintelligent
Ich bin enttäuscht.
Man könnte hier einen endlosen Roman darüber schreiben, was an der App schlecht ist. Das lasse ich mal.
Nur ein Punkt: Die App quält mich in Minutenabständen, mit der Meldung „Niedriger Brennstofffüllstand (E21) …“. Was nicht sein kann.
Trotz korrekter Angabe von Flaschen- und Füllgewicht meinen der SUMMIT und die App das Gas ginge zu Ende.
Die 11 kg Gasflasche ist aber noch mindestens halb voll und ich kann damit noch Tage grillen.
Ja und selbst wenn, dürfte die Meldung nicht wieder kommen, wenn ich sie am Grill „quittiert“ habe. Motto: weiß ich!
Aber nein, die Meldung kommt in Dauerschleife immer wieder.
Was mich erbost, ist, dass diese nervige Meldung auch dann noch x-Mal kommt, wenn der SUMMIT längst abgeschaltet und in der Cool-Down-Phase ist. Erst nach Stunden, nach Timeout der WLAN-Verbindung, ist Ruhe. Wehe aber, ich wecke den SUMMIT auf.
Schlimmer geht’s nimmer.
Ich bin stinksauer.
Man muss dann in den App-Einstellungen die Gasflasche zurücksetzen, womit der SUMMIT dann einem vorgaukelt, dass die Gasflasche voll wäre.
Ergo weiß man folglich nicht, wie viel Gas man tatsächlich noch hat.
Fazit: Funktioniert hinten und vorne nicht.
Die Entwickler grillen selbst wohl mit Konkurrenzprodukten 😡
Update 1:
Man kann das Gewicht der Gasflasche nicht exakt angeben. Kommastellen sind nicht möglich. Somit Eingabe von zB Eigengewicht 12,4 kg nicht machbar. Man muss entweder 12 kg oder 13 kg eingeben.
Mittlerweile habe ich das mit dem Gas halbwegs im Griff.
Vermutlich gibt es aber einen entscheidende Bug in der App.
Die Funktion „Gasflascheneinsatz verwendet“ bleibt nicht angehakt, wenn man sie aktiviert.
Update 2:
Leider gibt es keinen Auto-Boost-Modus „Low & Slow“, z.B. für „Short Ribs“ erforderlich, um kontinuierliche 110 Grad einzustellen. Ist schlicht nicht möglich.
Kann man nur im Modus „Manuell“ erreichen.
Mit einer Anpassung der SW könnte man das leicht ändern.

Nach Routerwechsel Probleme
Leider lässt sich die App nicht mehr per W-lan verbinden mit dem Grill.
Won’t connect - update failed loop
BBQ is great. App and thermometer are junk. Pairs with my iPhone ok, scan the BBQ and sees the correct BBQ, then tries to update the device and fails. Tried factory reset, uninstalling the app, removing the BBQ from the app and various combinations of the above. None of this works. Logged a ticket, will see what Weber do to get this sorted but based on other reviews I’m not holding my breath.
Sort your software development out Weber, your reputation is taking a hammering over this.
Update:
I successfully connected and updated the device via another iPhone (16). Followed the exact same process as with the iPhone 17 and it worked. I was then able to connect to it via my primary iPhone and it now works ok.
The only difference between the two iPhones (other than model) is that the 17 is running IOS 26.6 and the 16 is running 26.5.2
Sort your software development out Weber, your reputation is taking a hammering over this.

Ohne Funktion
Das schlechteste was ich bisher erlebt habe. Verbindung nicht möglich. Registrierung nicht möglich. Thermometer Nutzung nicht möglich, weil ein Update gebraucht welches man aber nicht laden kann weil Verbindung nicht möglich ist. Das in dem Preissegment in dem sich Weber bewegt, unmöglich.

Les sondes plafonnent à 330 degrés alors que le Master touch premium est capable d'aller plus haut. J'ai la même limitation avec les 4 sondes "ambiance " que je possède. Problème matériel ou logiciel, ne connaissant pas la caractéristique température / courant des sondes, je ne peux pas trancher cette question. Ces températures de plus de 330 degrés sont obtenues avec 1/3 de charbon de bois Weber premium Lumpwood Charcoal + 2/3 de briquettes Weber, bref que des produits Weber ! Messieurs de Weber, utilisez-vous vos produits ? J'aurais dû acheter chez vos concurrents qui sont beaucoup moins cher et plus performants

App Required
First Grill (ex325) I’ve ever own that required me to download an app and need camera access to get the temperature gauge to display.
Puts the “stupid” in smart device
The WiFi enabled thermometer on the Spirit grill won’t take the software update required to work, Weber says they’ll get back to me in 48 or so hours, and the grill won’t work without the thermometer taking the update. Useless technology - ruined Father’s Day. Weber brand used to mean something, sad to see a good brand in the toilet

Need to take lawsuit action against Weber
Bought their pellet searwood grill, pellet grill didn’t work from day one, called Support service three different times, every time they tell you they will email you within two days, three days later they email you with basic instructions that you already know from reading the manual, if you call them and call specifically the pellet department they say they aren’t the pellet department and offer no service clearly the only way to get this company to stand behind its product is a lawsuit

Done perfectly
Using the temperature probe and software on my phone is amazingly accurate. Great design job.
Easy to use
Using this today for the first time with my new Weber Smoque. Was easy to setup and it’s easy to change temperatures and timers or temp alerts. I just wish the app had a widget, could be exact copy of the Grill widget within the app but want to be able to see on home screen.
Why couldn’t cooking always be this easy ?
Just bought our first Weber pellet grill after a long life of cheap grills. This new technology is a game changer. I have always over/undercooked everything and have never felt confident enough to say I am a good cook. This app and grill just changed my mind. I have cooked three meals from the Weber connect app. I followed the clear and simple step by step instructions along with the temperature probes and timers in the app and it has been amazing. Stop being cheap ( like me) and just buy the grill that uses this app!!! You’ll thank yourself later.

Weber Hear Me Out - Alarm
The app itself is great, intuitive, and there are really no complaints on my end. That said, I have the Weber Searwood XL…. Literally my first overnight smoke I receive an error (E20) which stopped my cook. It didn’t say when it stopped…what caused the error…but needless to say I have some PTSD when it comes to overnight cooks. If there’s any way to have an alarm go off on your phone in case this does happen while you’re asleep would be very helpful. Or just in general. I’m honestly shocked that’s not a feature. I imagine it wouldn’t be too difficult to do via an update. If folks don’t want it…give is the ability to toggle on or off.

Support communication
I have not received a response to my previous ticket from over a week ago. My Smokefire grill reaches dialed in temp but then drops and goes into shut down. No open lids pellets are new and loading. $1000 grill should work flawlessly. This does not and no help from Weber.
Connectivity issues
Lots of issues with the grill to the app. Also can’t seem to upgrade firmware at all
Want it to work
Not sure if the updated firmware is bad. But cleaned grill and temp won’t go above 450
Abysmal WiFi Functionality
The app is great, but one of its most critical features has been left to exist in a broken state. Firstly, if you didn’t know (why they don’t make this clear) their network cards do not support anything other than 2.4Ghz frequency bands. Great (sarcasm). Secondly, the app fails to refresh the network list once connected, if you ever have connection issues and you need to disconnect and reconnect, it’s currently a total PITA. You have to reset the grill and forget it from your connected devices list in the app. This is high school level programming at best. Very disappointed in Weber for not being in top of this. Pay the money, fix the app. Like it or not it’s now considered basic functionality.

Ich weiss nicht so recht
Zum einen hab ich mir den Smart Hub gekauft weil das Display bei Sonne recht gut ablesbar ist, aber die App ist irgendwie nix.
Beim Rumpsteak kann ich die Dicke nicht ändern und wenn ich loslege und die Überwachung starte kommt sofort die Meldung ich soll das Steak wenden. Das ist mir alles zu wirr.

So hard to use
This thing just shuts down and you cant do anything about it but let it shut down and then fire it up again. Weber tried too hard to be to high tech.
Will not update
You’re a grill company, maybe stick to grills. Clearly tech isn’t your thing, it will not update it at all, absolutely useless I will be contacting support for a new smart knob.
