What's New in WeRescue

8.0.1

July 28, 2026

Clear The Shelters starts August 1 — and WeRescue is ready. CLEAR THE SHELTERS, REDESIGNED The Clear The Shelters hub and the participating shelters list now share the 2026 campaign design, so moving from one to the other feels like one place. Search any ZIP code to find shelters near you, see phone numbers and hours at a glance, jump straight to a shelter's adoptable pets, and watch the national adoption tracker climb in real time. A NEW LOOK FOR SCOUT Fresh artwork for Scout throughout the app. FIXES • Shelter listings now show only the pets still looking for a home — already-adopted animals no longer appear • Pets listed directly on WeRescue Hub now show up in their shelter's listing • Searching a new ZIP code in Clear The Shelters no longer leaves the previous search's shelters on screen Thanks for rescuing with us.

Nice app!

A great app with an amazing cause! I love what it’s working towards, and has many pets, just none that right away fit my specifications :( that’s alright though, I will continue looking and continue to support the amazing things this app is doing for animals everywhere!

Not user friendly. Get Petfinder 👍🏼

Won’t sort- keep getting “no pets” , but I get hundreds on Petfinder app.

Age of Dogs

Your site provides great information about the background of each dog. If I could make a suggestion, however, could you please list the current age and pounds of the dog?
